Everywhere, I've always seen that cutter line charge attacks can't be interrupted by any means. However, I've recently been noticing with my DVS that shock actually will interrupt the charge attack.
I haven't noticed this before with other swords in the cutter line, but I'm not sure that I've suffered shock during a charge attack either.
Can anyone else confirm that shock can interrupt the DVS charge attack, and check other swords in the line? And is this something new, or just that nobody's noticed it before?
DVS charge attack: interruptible by shock?
I tried Extribble's procedure in the ATH with both DVS and WHB, I only have the 5* swords in this line. In all cases shock interrupted the charge.
If I released the charge attack while standing on the grate and received the shock status and thus the shock flinch then the charge attack was interrupted immediately.
I also tried this: stand on the grate until I get shocked. Quickly step off and charge up an attack (max CTR helps here...) Release the attack. The shock flinch will interrupt the charge.
Just out of curiosity I tried the Fire Grate too, but even wearing full Dread Skelly I didn't get interrupted by fire at all. Freeze/Poison also did nothing, as one would expect.
I've updated both full Cutter lines' Wiki pages to reflect this information. I also made the charge attack descriptions more uniform between them so that it's clear its style doesn't change between upgrades. Feel free to edit mercilessly, my work is done :3
I don't have one myself, so I can't test it. But, I think the easiest way to test would be in the training hall, charge up, and release the attack while standing over the shock trap right as it's about to go off. That should give us a clear result (or so I think). Also, if it happens for the DVS, I assume it would happen with all Cutter-line weapons since they share an identical charge attack (neglecting status effects).
I have not personally seen this before, but then again, I'm usually soloing or doing Vanaduke with guildies where in neither case anyone is using anything from the Cutter line :P
