I did pay through steam And It did remove the funds from my steam wallet.

... same thing happened to me yesterday.. i received an initial response only asking what time it happened... it has now been 24 hours, and have not received another reply with any sort of ETA/etc.
while talking to others in-game, a few others had the same issue the day before, and were still awaiting a reply as well ( also 24 hours).....
my guess is that they are really backed up with all the issues everyone is having, but wont disable the steam wallet purchases of CE while they fix the issue either, which is sort of baffling, and self explanatory at the same time : GREED
all of us waiting for a resolution get to wait even longer as the list grows larger, because they dont want to lose even more money by shutting part of their payment system down.
alternatively, you could notify steam that your "steam wallet" was stolen from by 3rings and maybe with enough complaints to steam, they will get their act together, or steam will tell them to get lost!
