All the vaporizer boms deal elemental dmg upon detonation, to all monsters within its range right?
I brought my Shivermist to FSC today and decided, for the hell of it, to bomb my way through D24 with shiver :P
I started in the bottom right room, the one with the spinning fireballs.
What I noticed was that not all the zombies took equal number of detonations to kill, even though they were all caught in the blast at all times.
The quickest took about 10 hits and longest one took about 16. This seemed reaaaaly strange to me.
Also, from what i can see, each blast deal about 230 dmg, but this didnt seem to make any sense either, cause when i kill them with my DA, it takes 1 full combo + 2X first swing (about 1200dmg?). So if my shiv really did dmg all the zombies in the blast, and with 230 dmg every blast, it should only take 6-7 blasts to kill them.

So my 2 questions are:

1. Does the vapor bombs really deal elemental damage to ALL enemy within their range?
2. Do they really do 230dmg per blast, for every blast??

The damage range is smaller than the mist range. Enemies must be very close to the center of the explosion to receive elemental damage.

The explosion is about

The explosion is about 33~40%ish percent of the haze rad. It still does a fair chunk of damage but overall not much. Also, unless you were purely spamming the bomb, you might have been forgettin' to factor in thaw damage.

Ohhh

so the dmg from the blast is only about 30% of the radius?
also, I spammed the bomb so there isnt any thawing

and those numbers look right

Juances is certainly right. This is very easy to see. Turn on "show damage as numbers", if you haven't already, and bomb a crowd. Only the part of the crowd very close to the bomb gets damaged; the rest just get frozen.

Keep in mind that monsters take significant damage when they thaw. Often, the fastest way to kill a crowd with Shivermist Buster is to time explosions for just after the monsters thaw, rather than just exploding as fast as possible.

And yes, your 230 figure looks about right, depending on your bomb damage bonus. I don't know how this reconciles with your DA. Did you test the two, with different numbers of people in the parties? And by the way you're describing Depth 25, not Depth 24. When I was learning FSC, I would bomb my way through there, just as you did.

It is a very small area. When

It is a very small area. When I spam VT's in FSC, i always put them down right next to a group of zombies so I hit 2-4 at a time. With my VT the explosion does over 200 damage (not sure on the exact number) with no bomb bonuses.
