Ah...

My suspicions have been confirmed after all. Thanks Ufana ^w^

The stratum IS interesting, and FSC regulars will definitely benefit from their Fire resistance.
Not that I'll be rushing to it anytime soon though.

There's also an arena in

There's also an arena in Stratum 5 of the very same gate too!

:D

(Ok, not really that important, being an odd stratum and all, but it's not bad for those who go through every floor of T3.)

I'd rather have a Shock,

I'd rather have a Shock, Gremlin, or Slime stratum. What's so great about this one?

3x Arenas

On T3, that's a lot of fun and money

@Otaia

3 arenas, possible graveyard, 22 levels on 5 floors, lotsa posibility for danger rooms and it requires fire resistance which like Ufana said, everyone who frequents FSC has. Fire status aside, the variety here is amazing and add to it that in Tier 3 there was no fire stratum besides FSC for a long time so we can enjoy the fire status music theme to our heart's content.

And tbh, by now everyone should puke just about thinking about shock stratums as almost all gates in the past had it as a theme in Tier 3, that gets boring after months ya know. Jelly stratums are generally eh, outside of raw crowns the materials are awful, about gremlin stratums, honestly, i hate the Jigsaw Valleys as much as i hate Deconstruction zones, most of them are short and barely cover the cost to enter and the mats (excluding Sun Silver/Volcanic Iron) are pretty bad too.

Gremlins drop Volcanic Iron,

Gremlins drop Volcanic Iron, no? A single Volcanic Iron makes a Deconstruction Zone worth more than an Arena, plus they take like 3 minutes to complete.

I don't like waiting for single arenas locked into a depth with 5 possible levels, in the time it takes to wait, I could have cleared two levels. Jelly farms provide tons of crowns, which is kind of the main reason I go into the Clockworks.

Looks like too much potential

Looks like too much potential waiting on elevator changes for this to be worth it, at least when you have an elevator pass.

"Jelly farms" There can be

"Jelly farms"
There can be only one Aurora Isles floor per stratum so uh
"worth more than an Arena"
Thats only true if the arena you go on doesn't have gremlins in it, the amount of gremlins on arena is usually comparable with what you'd see in a decon zone. This almost holds true for Sun Silvers which drop from gun puppies. If i had to go for pure crowns i'd still go for FSC because its the fastest.

That was Kurowolfe.

I don't actually like fire much... get enough of that stuff in fsc. Also mobs in fire strata tend not to burn all that good. Which makes attempts to set them on fire a lot less fun. Except for oilers. Those burn great which can be a lot of fun.

you won't have to wait long

you won't have to wait long for those arenas. Each level is going an opposite direction, so the levels will change faster. I also believe that the more levels at a depth, the faster it rotates. I wouldn't be surprised to see the elevator switch levels every 3 minutes or so. I'll have to check it out tomorrow because I didn't even look at the new gate today.

Also, I'm happy it isn't a shock stratum. T3 is almost exclusively shock, poison or fiend before Vanaduke. Also, many other T3 gates have those same exact themes over and over again. I like running regular clockworks, but those themes are getting boring.

EDIT: oh, I did a few areans last week at depth 28, and the last section paid out 2kcr (not counting anything else you pick up). Even if you only wait for that one, this gate will easily pay for itself.

But it's fire
and fire sucks
I can't kill anything with a voltaic tempest either
or rather, I can, just that it takes five times as long

Voltaic Tempest is shock, so

Voltaic Tempest is shock, so it kills everything the same speed it always does, so I don't get your point.

Voltaic tempest gets much

Voltaic tempest gets much stronger based on how many enemies are close to each other, and I believe if there are more than 6 enemies in a clump or so, it out-DPS's Ash of Agni

It takes 5-7 mobs in a clump

It takes 5-7 mobs in a clump for VT to equal or better AoA, since fire damage is totally different than elemental damage. For example, Fire does the most damage to ice cubes, but does ~30 less damage to giant lichen colonies or quicksilvers in S6.

Yea, a VT Will take 5 times as long, assuming you aren't grouping your monsters together and you aren't getting them with the bomb explosion damage. In an arena VT has the potential to massively outclass AoA due to the nature of the stage and the fact that people circle the mob over and over again which gets a lot of them very close together.

If you are killing 1-2 monsters with a haze style bomb, then you should be dropping it at their feet. In that case the VT should only take a tiny bit longer than the AoA to kill a monster due to the lower status damage not being a major contributor.

Right now VT is my haze bomb of choice, but that is mostly because I do a decent amount of FSC and couldn't afford AoA and VT at the same time. AoA is definitely on my list of bombs to collect so I can combine the status of both bombs at the same time. It would be perfect for non-shock and non-fire arenas.

i agree

The voltaic tempest is the sole reason i dont feel like i need an ash XD except that ash is better for wolvers and gremmys ... sometimes devilites, and gun puppies... AND THATS WHY IM GETTING AN ELECTRON VORTEX :D!! .. except gun puppies .___. but i just use supernova for that anyways
