I can't seem to be able to join a party from the mission menu, nothing happens no matter how many times I press start. Starting a party works just fine though.

Same with the Clockworks, but weirder. Trying to join a party in the Arcade lands me in a 'Crossing the Chasm' party or another random mission. Starting a party sends me to the normal Clockworks.

I just get a server error statement in blue when I try to join anything.

I got that, too. I just figured that maybe there weren't any parties available...

Definitely broken.

The only way I can join a party is if I click on a friends name and join there or if I get invited.

Same here. If I click "join party" I got and message saying: An unexpected error occurred on the server.
