Make inherent weapon damage bonuses stack with added bonuses

So right now if you craft a CIV you get 3 points of buff against undead, as a tradeoff for slightly lower base damage than the Levi. If you then go ahead and equip skolver+BTS, you get 6 points of buff against everything, including undead, meaning you do less damage to undead than you would if you'd just crafted a Levi in the first place.

My suggestion is thus: Make inherent weapon damage bonuses stack separately to gear-induced bonuses.

Example: CIV crafted with "Damage Vs Slime: Ultra" UV, and a player wearing other gear that provides, say, 4 points of damage buff (ie two elite slash modules, or full skolver), would result in 7 points against undead, 9 against slime, and 4 against everything else.

Example the second: CIV crafted with "Damage Vs Undead: Ultra" UV, player wearing gear that provides 10 points of damage buff (full skolver, bts, two elite slash), would result in 12 points of buff against undead, and 6 points of buff against everything else. That is to say, the weapon's inherent bonus caps at max (6 points), as does the bonus from the rest of the gear.

... i have no idea what you just said, but ima plus 1 this just cuz i wanna get a cold iron vanquisher ( i think thats what you mean by CIV ), and it sounds like you wanna make it better...

Your saying that monster

Your saying that monster damage bonuses and regular damage bonuses should stack separately? Makes sense to me. That being said, the cap for monster damage bonuses would have to be lowered. Though using full chroma or something wouldn't make sense...

Edit;
I read this again. You mean bonuses that came with the weapon, right? So that the VH undead dosen't add to the damage cap? That would make sense.

Oh, Great, I don't have to start a new Thread.

I was actually thinking that Swords that have Monster Bonuses should have another Effect of leaving a Status to only that Monster.

Ex.

Cold Iron Vanquisher has High vs Undead & a Chance of Causing Moderate Fire to Undead(Undead in most Games despise Light, so Fire is the Closest thing.)

Wild Hunting Blade has High vs Beasts & a Chance of Causing Moderate Stun to Beasts(Might make the Phantasmal Bites ACTUALLY Hit.)

Slime/Super Slime Slasher has High bonus vs slime & a Chance of Causing Moderate Poison(Shovel might be Infected with some Bacteria that Slimes cannot Defend against.)

Beast/Big Beast Basher has the same Effects as Wild Hunting Blade, but with Minor Stun instead(This one is Debatable.)

Thwack Hammer has a High Bonus vs Construct & a Chance of Causing Minor Shock(?)

Deconstructor/Heavy Deconstructor have a High Bonus vs Construct & a Chance of Causing Moderate Shock(EMP-Like Blast?)

Sun/ Radiant Sun Shards have a High Bonus vs Fiends & a Chance of Causing Moderate Fire(Same as Undead's Reason.)

I can't think of anything for the Salt Bomb until it's Fixed, but you get my Drift.

@Orangeo Yeah, basically the bonuses you get from the weapon stack to max (6 points), and the bonuses you get from your other gear stack to max (6 points) separately, and then they get added together.

So if you had, I dunno, a cautery sword (lol) and full deadly virulisk you'd get 3 points from the sword and 4 points from the gear for 7 points in total against slime. Or if you had full dragon scale, a BTS, and a WHB you'd get 3 points from the sword and 6 points from the gear for 9 points in total against beast, and then 2 points from the gear against everything else.

@Ironskullkid That would also be neat.

Hmmm, maybe something like... Stun vs. Beast? Fire vs. Undead? It sounds nice, but then you have a weapon like CIV in FSC and the bonus becomes worthless. Hmm, maybe if it was a guaranteed effect? Then it'd work even in FSC. Short lived, but guaranteed.

Huh, actually, why not just create all new weapons with stuff like Status vs. Enemy? It'd be interesting to see what three rings (And Sega) come up with... I foresee a blade made of water doing Shock vs. Construct. I just see it happening. That or a water bomb. XD
