When trying to log on to the Spiral Knights wiki I keep getting the message that there has been an error due to an incorrect password entered. I have double-checked my log-in and password via the mailing system and made sure everything is entered correctly. Still nothing.
Any ideas what could be the cause of this?
a note: I have only created my account several hours ago, could it be that it needs more time to overall validate my account info internally?
I am also having this error.
I have tried changing my password and I have tried on a computer where a friend of mine has been able to log on with his SK account, but nothing has worked so far. Cookies are enabled so I don't think that is the issue.
Did you change it to a more basic password using numbers and English letters to see if that might help?
If that does turn out to be the problem then please do contact us via https://www.spiralknights.com/support/#mail as well with your old password, we'd be interested to see what didn't work to get it fixed, but no need to share old passwords with everyone else on the forum ;)
So the problem appears to be the ending underscore in your account name. We'll look into this and see if that is something that we can work around.
As far as I know there is no work around beyond changing the account name. I'm not sure if it's MediaWiki or something to do with the way OOO implements things, but you can't have the _ on YPPedia either. A note was added to the login screen there: Currently usernames with underscores can't be used for YPPedia. The other warning there is: If your password contains underscores or other interesting characters, you might have trouble logging in. Change your password to something without those characters and try again.
If you are able to log on to the forums, then you should be able to log on to the wiki. Which leads me to believe you've done something with your password that mediawiki does not like. I would suggest changing your password here: http://www.spiralknights.com/register/index.wm, to something simpler (using just letters and numbers) and see if that would allow you to log on.
