CE revival limit?

So, my friend here, is telling me that the CE revive cap has been there for a loooong time.
Though, I perfectly remember spending 4 k CE in one single revive, as I fought the Red Roarmulus Twins when the shadow lairs came out.
And even 8 k in one revive some time when I was pretty new to the game, but of course, I had a lot of CE.
And I've played since beta, and it's not before now, that I've noticed they made a cap for CE revivals; 1000 energy.
Yet my friend here is telling me that my account must've been bugged the whole time.. :l
Please explain?

You can spend 4k to revive
You can spend 4k to revive your whole party if everyone is maxed out on revs.

A possibility...
Maybe you recall spending that much energy collectively. Because that seems much more likely if it's been a long time since it happened.

@Shidara, that's what my friend suggested as well, so I GUESS that would be the case here. Sorry for bothering you guys :v
If you check your account energy history, you should be able to see every unit of CE that has crossed your account. This includes any CE spent reviving in dungeons, CE traded to and from other players, and CE purchased with real money. If the history claims you have spent that much in a single revive, put in a support ticket.
