Steam not working??

So Steam is not working when i try to log in.. but when i log in with my alt (as on now) it lets me. So therefore goes to show its something with steam, anyone know if its just updating or is there something wrong???? i would like to know ASAP.

I dont read steam forums as i dont use steam a whole much, i so regret combining my steam with SK... i wish you could undo that.. anyways, thank you Canozo. Hopefully when they say "soon" they mean within minutes. ;P

i was online all the time as steam user and didnt have that issue, but its been laggy
Everyone is having issues with Steam at the moment as far as I can tell.
