So, what's the best equipment for doing JK runs? It has to be 4* or below.
Thanks.

I only use swords and guns, but if bombs are more effective i'm willing to use those too.
Question has already been answered in your other thread.
i like Faust and Blight needle. Faust does curse YET it has high shadow. Blight Needle is 4* poison gun. any poison gun or sword would work in the boss level. so try to get a shadow and/or poison weapon. Note that poison does not work realy good in levels before boss, yet it helps defeat Royal Jelly faster (stops the oaf from healing xD) armor and shield should be anything with pierce defense. hope this helps
My loadout for JK works pretty damn solidly.
JK: Deadly Viru, Pepperbox/FoV = Dead in 30 secs.
RJP: Deadly Viru, Swifty, Pepperbox, Graviton, VT/AoA, FoV/DA/Glacius
(note, I'm just mentionin' the 5* versions out of habit, but 4*s work the same really, excluding FoV obv)
Not fancy that? Basic stuff you're after:
RJP: Swords - Acheron, GF. Bombs = Graviton, VT/AoA. Guns = Umbra/Bio.
Throw at least one elemental weapon in there to deal with puppies; Polaris, Brandish etc (or FoV/Pepperbox works well too, since you'd use them on JK)
Sets discussions will generally have varying opinions. It comes down mostly to one simiple question: Will you use more than one type of weapon?
If you'll go in pure swords/guns/bombs, then just use the set for that. If you'll regularly use any mixture (guns/bombs, swords/guns etc) then the D.Viru works legendarily, giving bonuses to both of them and keeping your defence against the buggers decently high.
Well I'm a gunner and I normally run with my Shadowtech gun and a Pulsar and it gets the job done pretty well. I have no problem mowing down lumbers, gun puppies, and the jellies.
So some combination of an elemental and shadow should do you fine weapon wise.
You could get the shadow sword or faust (if you have the JK tokens already) and have an elemental side arm or an elemental sword and a shadow gun.
If you're mainly going to hack at stuff with a sword though, you'd probably want the main weapon to be shadow.
Divine veil and mantle, barbarous thorn blade, blitz needle and dark briar barrage.
Oh, wait, you probably wanted to actually win? What fun would that be?
Btb? Really nicoya? That charge will annhilate Jk. Do it with a rigadooooooonn
Gigawatt Pulsar/Virulent Catalyser/Faust, varying between Ash Tail Coat, Miracle Hood and Dark Thorn Shield, and Wyvern Scale Mail, Sunset Stetson and Swiftstrike Buckler (since latter gives much more bonuses to the guns). I like being able to inflict statuses down there, particularly since newbies have an unfortunate tendency to waste curse vials on earlier stages. (Unfortunately since I've now lost my third weapon slot my Cat will probably get taken out until I can afford the ce again.)
Bringing Blight Needle is a terrible idea. It does piercing damage, which is weak against every type of enemy commonly found down there (mainly Construct and Jelly). There are Silkwings, but not enough to merit bringing piercing down there, and the poison is not useful enough in any level other than the boss.
With non-boss-reward gear, I'd personally choose a Nightblade/Shadowtech mk. II, and a Fireburst, which are the easiest to obtain. Pack something with piercing resist, and possibly elemental resistance as well if you have Lumber and Gun Puppy problems (although I wouldn't really recommend Drake Scale lines, and especially not the shield). If you don't have the boss rewards, none of the poison-inflicting non-boss weapons are really worth it here (Blight, as I have said, is piercing, and the Vile Striker sword, whilst being normal damage, has an unfortunate tendency to leave you horribly exposed if you're not careful). Just pack poison vials instead.
Of course if you want a bombing set, pack AoA and VT lines. Shock will get the mini jellies off your plate so fast it's untrue, and Fire does high damage without interrupting any problems. If you've got a spare slot after that, pack a Graviton for completeness and extra crowd control, because black holes are just that awesome. :B (Though to be honest, bombing armour isn't really all that optimal here, due to its lack of piercing resistance.)
Umbra driver for guns and your set.
Acheron for swords and your set
Umbra driver = shadowtech alchemer
Acheron = brandish > nightblade
Get gunslinger armor for guns or wolver for swords
Thorn shield for swords, jelly shield for guns.
Weapons:
a Vortex bomb (either electron or graviton, both are great)
Nightblade line sword
Polaris line of pulsar
an elemental Brandish (Combuster's probably best) or Avenger (Fang of Vog would be preferable but you probably wont get that for a while). Fiery Vaporizer line bomb or Vile Striker are also good choices.
Armor/shield:
Wolver line -> Skolver with snarby shield -> BTS
General strategy: drop Vortexes to suck in as many jellies as possible then blast em with Brandish charges. Polaris for turrets and general spammability/area denial. Avenger/elemental Brandish to take care of lumbers and puppies. Avenger is also great for clearing space if ur getting swarmed.
If you're carrying the Fiery vaporizer it pairs great with a vortex. You could even just kite and spam it if you wanted to. Vile Striker is a weapon mainly just for the boss fight itself, though the charge is quite good at taking down lumbers and gun puppies if you're not carrying an elemental weapon for whatever reason. Just run around behind them after they attack then unleash it. Destroys JK too and negates the need for poison vials. Fang of Vog is just plain brutal for the boss fight and the charge is great throughout the run (u just have to be careful ofc).
I imagine other guns would be great too but I don't know enough about them to say.
Blight needle is bad due to piercing and you can get the same affect with either Ash of Agni, or Voltaic Tempest (whatever the 4* versions are called) since they will kill any mini jelly that walks within its radius with a single hit (note, this is only for the boss stage as those mini jellies are extremely weak). Not only that, but the AoA and VT both can really speed up those areas that are like arenas due to all the damage they will inflict while you take out each individual monster while you are using your swords.
Anyways, I use (substitute 4* versions)
Acheron (shadow for slimes)
Combuster (elemental for gun puppies and lumbars)
Voltaic Tempest (for preventing JK from healing plus it speeds up a LOT of areas)
Skolver Coat (pierce protection + dmg)
Vog Cub Coat (elemental protection + ASI)
Barbarous Thorn Shield (pierce + dmg)
Dual wielding brandishes (Acheron + Combuster) can easily get you through the whole level.
For the boss fight, charge Combuster and put the RJ on fire, then keep spamming Acheron charges until the fire goes out, then repeat.
Your other two weapon slots are not needed and you actually don't need to use poison or curse if you already have these two brandishes.
I dont even bother with Combuster, just straight Acheron charge does enough damage to kill JK quickly. Combuster is just icing on the jelly donut.
Soloing, with a few damage buffs, it only takes about 3 Acheron charges per phase to take down RJ.
Do you prefer bombs, guns, or swords? Or would you prefer to be some combination of some sort?
