Just a lil something..

Since there are no avatars including the Shadow Lair armors I thought I'd just make a couple for good measure.

(Yes I realise it isn't the whole of the Mercurial set, I just prefer that helm with the Ironmight Plate ^^)
These aren't too serious so don't throw too many negative comments at me, I just had a couple minutes free and felt like making some. Obviously feel free to use them for anything you may wish.
Thanks for having a look!

How did you make this as I would like to make some new ones based on Gunner, Drones, Vana ect.

@Xtrider You can't as they dont accept submissions for artwork, you can however use them for Steam or any other forums that allow users to upload their own images.
I was just making them for fun.
@Atrumvindex I used the Spiral Spy model viewer to create the Knight and then edited them using photoshop.
You can find the link to download the model viewer here: http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/28402

You can't. You can only use the ones supplied by OOO. He just made his own ones.
I am going to use one for my Youtube account.

I would make some of my own, but what program and how did you make these?

these look great! And i just realized snarby looks like a batarian lol

@Jaroche Ah thanks, haha yeah they do!
@Isisdelltion Thank-you! :D

I can't find the other hats. Can anyone hepl me?

@Atrumvindex Your links didn't work for me, what are you trying to find?

Ahhh, the armors are under "Poncho" and the helms are under "Widebrimhat"

These are quite nice, but they do have some flaws I would like to point out...
1. They are not quite as "smooth" as the current ones are, they look rather pixelated and a tad unorganized. Try using a blurring tool on the edges of the models or anything that looks like it is "pixelated," as this really helps to make the model look realistic.
This also helps when making scenes in Spiral-Spy, as it helps the transition from model to background.
2. They are in different poses, which doesn't fully go well with the theme the forum avatars are in, as most of them that portray a certain set are in a set position.
3. Accessories, while a nice feature, take away from the armor being itself. In other words its a bit too much of a distraction for my eyes.
I know you made these in a short frame of time, but I thought I could hand out some constructive criticism to help you the next time you do something like this.

Well thank-you for your critique but I have to disagree...
1. Have you seen the size of them? If they were actual avatar size they wouldn't be so pixelated. I think the link of your scene looks way too blurry and the only focus is the front of the wolver coat. Avatars are different to scenes. Scenes are supposed to look like everything belongs but avatars are different. How often do you see a snipe with an outer glow and an icon behind it?
Example of how big they would actually be...
2. Like I said, they don't take submissions so they weren't too serious. Why would they have to be the same anyway? The proto ones are shielding and firing a gun so I don't think making them in different positions was a bad thing. I knew they weren't taking submissions so it doesn't matter that they don't "fit" by your standards. I said they could be used by anyone for anything that's why I provided them slightly larger than normal so people could resize accordingly.
3. I don't feel they're too much of a distraction at all. I was showing new things they had introduced into the game and picked accessories that suited the armor.
Opinions are opinions I guess, but I don't feel as if you should be giving me this critique as if you know everything about avatars.
Thanks regardless.
you botched that picture of arc and ag with blur
how do I apply these to my forum account?
they're awesome btw
