Guys. Please read the announcement thoroughly. The types of contest are rotated, and the event is going on for hours and hours. A single person is not refreshing the page and yelling "Win ALL the things!"--it's not possible, given that not all the giveaways are first come, first served.
This is just meant to be a fun little thing.

It is really cool you guys are hosting this event for people who use twitter. It's a great effort on your behalf.
I would also like to see something in the spirit of the Halloween bombaleers, or the proto crests. This would be a sweet little thing for people who play the game and don't read the forums or use twitter. A small, special thing In-Game to recognize the holiday. I feel its more in the spirit of actually playing a game.
Just one man's opinion.

The main reason the contest
The main reason the contest is on Twitter is to advertise for Spiral Knights in order to get more people to play. If the contests were contained to the game in of itself, it would be a lost opportunity for three rings.
Second I'll guess the contests will run through the day, night and morning so everyone around the globe will have a shot.
Twitter makes it a bit more of a hassle, but it's not like your obligated to use it afterwards. Heck, I created a twitter account for a Cave Story contest only. I'll just convert it to Spiral Knights

No--we're going to release it later today as a free thing you get with the $4.95 CE pack. We were going to make them available earlier today, but we are waiting until our credit card services are back online--they're undergoing an update that's taken longer than expected.

Sounds good, which will equal a ton of love auras on the auction house by tomorrow

1st off happy Valentine's Day to all knights. 2nd, I did not know that OOO and sega were partnered with Twitter. If you are not partnered why make your customers use a 3rd party application to participate in this silly "competition". It is my understanding that love is given today, not earned. Not asking for free things by any means, nor do I want what you guys are offering. But why don't you guys maybe interact with us in game? How cool would that be? Twitter feels like a business transaction and not personable. Anyways I will be giving my valentine some items IN game, she or any one else I give things to do not have to earn them. Thanks for listening.

SK Y U NO MAKE A CONTEST THAT ACTUALLY REQUIRES SOME KNOWLEDGE ABOUT SK/TALENT? (cross out unneeded). But let's be serious now, are you plannng to do (not for valentines of course) some contests that require knowledge about for example monsters or weapons in sk? If you add some interesting prizes, newbies would actually learn something about game and stop asking some obvious/un-understandable questions like "how do I make light come out of my arsenal"

I don't even care about the Lova Aura, I'm just happy that there's going to be another CE pack bonus item to get people buying CE outright. The more people buy CE, the better the market becomes for people buying CE with crowns, and the more money Three Rings has to continue development.

Well, you could just leave SK in non-fullscreen and have twitter open in a tab in your browser. Every time that Twitter page has a new tweet, the page and title updates. From experience I can tell you that the little change in that tab title is enough to catch your attention and remind you read the new tweet.

I used a Twitter Notifier and only won once.
I'm happy with Fancy Wings on my Coral Rose Set.
Welp, there goes my chance to participate in a Valentine's event. I'm in school pretty much all day for interviews, and then I gotta rush home and finish up two reports + study for an exam day after tomorrow. Also, two more interviews tomorrow, aaah. Worst Valentine's ever. T_T
