So I already have a Flamberge, and I collected enough Snarbolax token thingies to buy the Snarble Barb. Seeing the prices offered for it in the auction house, and seeing as how I already have a Flamberge, I was wondering if I should equip it or just sell it.

My comparison of the piercing swords can be found here. As far as your particular situation goes, you are not really invested in either of these lines very far. So you should just pick the 5-star sword you want and work toward it, even if you have to abandon your 2-star investment.

If the only way to get rid of one was to vendor it, there wouldn't be any in the auction house. You can go to Vise and pay energy to have it unbound.
But you do need to keep in mind that any gear you get from Brinks is automatically bound to you (even if you never equip it). So those prices you see in the auction house for boss items aren't nearly as good as they look; the unbind fee eats most of the profits.
As Bopp says, you should pick the 5* sword you want and work towards it, even if it means you end up throwing away a 3* item. Upgrade costs rise exponentially with star level; tier 2 is a good time to explore, experiment, and figure out what you really want.

Dump the Flamberge & go with
Dump the Flamberge & go with BTB or FF.
Did you already buy the snarble barb? If you did, it is already bound. The only way to get rid of it is to sell to a vendor for low prices.
Most of the time, piercing swords like barb and flourish are better as pure damage, not status dealing, due to the fact that they are pure damage weapons.
