Get graded at end of the game and earn points, prizes or extra mist energy per level

I don't know something fun would be is if the game grades me on my performance. You know in all these Japan hack'n slash games, when you get a good combo, cool words fly to the side saying "Brutal, Awesome, Super!!!" stuff like that, and they give out a number and times the points by that combo you get?
There should be a point system, so that other people can compare each other in leader boards and stuff when they get to that certain level. At the end of the round, the game grades you on your performance. How many times you died, get revived, kills, mega or little assists, combos you did on one enemy, killstreaks without getting hit once, etc. (Overall, I think there should be an extra tab, next to the progress tab called "Stats" or something) Then it rewards you on achievements, points, and maybe extra 10 mist energy if your super good.

Just a little suggestion to make this game more competitive.

Now I know what you guys are going to say...
"Rewarding players with extra mist energy would ruin the game!!!" Jeeze! Would you stop saying that? Lol! I am just saying that players should be rewarded a couple of mist energy if they are super pro at the game. It gives the player a incentive to do well. Like for example, if you use nooby weapons, more of a chance you earn mist energy because your saying "Yeah, I am so pro, that I could take out the undead with my proto sword on tier 3 and I haven't died once in the past 3 levels I should be rewarded 15 mist energy!"

I think it might be

I think it might be reasonable to reward awesomeness with heat (possibly including a "You're on *fire*" quote - possibly even just generating the heat on the ground, so that your teammates can bask in the warmth of your reflected awesomeness). The issue is that that requires the game to define what is awesome. Is awesomeness killing everything in the room in an amazingly short period of time? Is it managing to fight through without a scratch? Is it managing to complete the level without ever using your shield or any consumables? is it using all 1* gear on tier 2? I rather like it as it is now - the thing that succeeds is success.

Nope, wasn't me. I don't think I copied and paste it either.

Eh, its just a suggestion. If majority of peeps doesn't like it, I am fine with it. It is just a suggestion where the game could add more to it self. Because so far, I think the gameplay is kind of shallow. At least it would be nice to have some stats for your character (kills, deaths, revives, favorite weapon, favorite clockwork level, recently played, etc.) something small and cool to show your friends an stuff. The only stat I see in the game is how long you played using that character. For me, I only played in a total of 1 and a half days, and I have all 4-Star stuff!

Yes for stats, no for extra prizes

I think the reward for performance is good as it is, but I sure would like to know how many wolvers I blew up and how many slimes I slashed.

The materials list when we end a run is already wonderful. I'd love to add a tally of kills by the party. If we got, for instance, a seemingly large number of critter carapaces, it would be nice to see if we killed a lot of chromalisks or got lucky with the handful we faced.

I would be fine with some

I would be fine with some sort of end of the round achievements. Just for fun though, not with any tangible rewards they would walk away with. Just something to maybe encourage some friendly competition for some temporary bragging rights. That would be kind of neat. :)

At most, maybe the player could earn them for some sort of medal display you could bring up from the player menu to see what your friends have. Some sort of loose achievement system. But really just keep it to being something that you boast about, but nothing that gives you a concrete advantage over other players, or earns you extra rewards. That would be fair I think.

Medal system is awesome! And if you want to view another player's medals, you can simply click on "inspect." Not only you would see what armor the user is wearing, but also the medals as well. =)

I think 3-Rings has a medal system in their Bang-Howdy game. Why not here? It makes sense! =D

Yes for personal stats

One disadvantage of this is that you can start to grade other players based on these ratings or whatever instead of whether or not you were able to work together to win. I like the simplicity of the current system as it prevents stupid "who's the best" contests instead of enjoying the game.

That being said, I usually have no idea of how well I am doing from some objective measure. It would be cool to know that, "hey, I did 10% of our total damage on the last level", so I need to address it. Or, "wow, I took no damage that entire level and had 30 killing blows". It would be nice if I could see my stats & everyone's cumulative stats, maybe, without turning how well you did versus how well I did into a pissing contest.

bump for someone posting the

bump for someone posting the same idea

also, adding an idea i added to the new thread:

" personally, i like the idea of these rankings/achievements having no real value but for bragging rights. they could be added to a player profile, but no crown/energy/item prizes. just some good old friendly competition. and maybe even make parties allowed to disable or enable these ratings, so people can avoid competition amongst a party if they think it detracts form the experience.
