Do you all agree the game masters should create more weapons?
I mean there are still plenty of ideas, like a two-handed swords or a key blade am i right?!

Also there are an in-surplus of a gunslinger's, such as myself, guns i mean really you game masters can't you design
a two-handed gun like twin pistols not that hard.
If you agree plz comment bring the master(s) attention to this.

More weapons

I agree with more weapons. It would probably mean people would begin to craft a lot more, which should boost the Spiral Knight economy. There have been ideas of lances, spears, claymores, crossbows, long bows and many other weapons. I think within a months time, they should add something new, like pets or guild upgrades. We just have to wait and see.

I only want a keyblade, if it lets me use it as a key and it never disappears. Oh, it should be able to open any lock, so shadow lairs, and iron lockboxes would be more accessible.

2. Please change title to something like "We need moar weapons nao", so it clearly states what's this thread about.

3. Do players really think that developers don't know that lances, spears, two-handed swords, claymores or crossbows exists and have to be suggested? Here is a list of weapons names. I'm sure devs know about them and there's no need to suggest any of it. Thread with simple "make daggers" or "make claymore" or "make laser pistol" really doesn't contribute much.

In my opinion suggesting new weapon is not about name or look but rather in-game utility. For example I think that we need shadow damage bomb that is more about damage and less about utility. I don't care (that much) how will it looks like or if they'll call it Orb of Malediction or Fiendish Coconut or Morgoth or Black Hole Shards. They are creative. I trust them :-)
Also we could get some special damage 5-swing-combo sword. So far we have special damage (both Shadow and Elemental) in case of 2-hitters and 3-hitters, but all 5-hitters deal only normal damage. A bit unfair if you ask me.

Awesome weapons as boss drops? Like .01% chance to drop from a new boss.
Would be very fun, and promote massive grinding, and promote soloing.

And then the p2win (which is not p2p, don't get insulted) will be mad they have to grind more. And with grinding being a huge part in anything with a low chance of drops, the price will naturally be higher. P2win will now have to shell over more cash. And you can bet they'll complain about it.

Fun it might be, fun it might not be. Would you call snarby fun in a solo? Is vana fun to anyone who has grinded him enough for the sword and shield?

Promoting solo only fuels the theory of Sk wanting us to die and ce revive more, making us pay for more ce.

I wish. Sadly I don't think we should be expecting a tier 4 any time soon. If it does get added then it'll probably take at least several months if not over a year.

Firstly, .01% chance of a boss item drop wouldn't be enough to encourage people to abandon joining/creating parties altogether. Also, in my opinion going solo is actually easier than being in a party. I always prefer soloing vana rather than relying on party members simply because I can avoid death with more ease and kill vana faster alone. With no other players around, that means I won't get hit due to a player running right by me while vana is swinging at them or someone dragging slag guard charges into me.

I didn't comment on how Chris's idea of going solo in T4 is a better idea. If it promotes soloing, it must give some sort of incentive, right?

I said theory because that is what it is. I was tempted to add conspiracy, but that might not be so accurate. It was more of a reference to the mindset of new players, the ones that go "omfg t2 so hard, ppl all suxz, and i have to solo to be able to keep my health. but then i cant fight so many monsters, and they all kill me so quick, and i have to ce revive"

Shadow Lair = Tier 4

Shadow Lair = Tier 4 (basically). I mean, look at how hard they are in 5* gear with a party of 4 and then look at T3 with with Vanaduke... If there was a T4 I'd expect them to be as challenging or even more challenging than a shadow lair... which means the incentive to do shadow lairs would be removed for the people that like challenges, which would get those people calling for a drop in the price of shadow keys (or complete removal of them).

On second thought, that was a bad idea.

Not to mention the 3 videos put up by Vokster. Dear god, how could he attempt soloing ugww, uimf, and urjp. How much effing ce did he use to revive himself over the course of the 3 runs, I have no idea.

The idea of two handed

The idea of two handed weapons rather amuses me. I'd use them if there was a serious damage gain. Perhaps the lack of shield maybe parry would be a substitute. It would of course be less effective than block and having shield stats, but good enough you didn't get squished by everything.

I would say there needs to be some serious ideas for guns. They really are very niche in purpose. Not a lot of zones you can pick a set of guns for the job, and breeze through it like you can with swords.

I would like to see

I would like to see new weapons like a two-hand sword. I could use one since I've soloed fsc and vanaduke without a shield using mainly my da. This will make that challange easier.

Anyway with the idea of a two-handed sword, if it was pretty big (bigger than a da/gf/suda/tri) it could substitute as a shield although it's only the front.

New guns would be nice, but it seems much easier to come up with new swords or w/e melee weapon since most players are into melee.
