IMO it's just cheap changing the lunge attack to do damage just by touching knights (zombie jump and instead of grabbing and noming your head you get instahit and flinched). It already was cheap when they jumped and if you were near the landing zone you couldn't shield or attack...
Zombies lunge attack
I agree with Fumaca - its just a cheap way to damage player. Damage may not be huge, but I prefer the old zombie "lunge" attack where you are left frozen but able to avoid getting damaged, instead of taking damage every time a zombie bugs out and does damage by standing still. Yes, under certain conditions zombie jump attack does damage without actual jump. Most likely it happens when zombies are stunned.
Thing is:
- when Vanaduke is stunned, he may do double or instantly hitting attacks
- when zombies are stunned, they may do instantly hitting "lunge" attacks while teleporting around the room (just moving in a straight line nearly instantly)
- when knight is damaged and stunned while doing a charged attack, they're left standing still till the animation is supposed to finish, can't move or attack or shield
- when zombie does stun breath attack (or poison), it interrupts charging (possibly attack as well)
Well considering zombies are practically harmless now after their tracking nerfs, I'm totally fine with this. It means you actually gotta dodge something once in a while.
