usually, with the full mist tank you shoudl be able to get enough profit to buy more energy and repeat the process all day.
If you cant, sorry but you are a bad player. Keep practicing until you get better.
Or open your wallet and buy energy with $$$.

I have something to ask two. When does it start to get profitable? Just tell me the Tier; I know it isn't Tier 2. As of now, I trade to obtain energy and have been playing only 3 days.
I actually like this system, as it gives them money to keep making this (already in my opinion) excellent game!
Plus, it's like a limiter, chill out for awhile, or if you are determined, ask a friend to put you on his/her tab or trade some :D

It gets profitable when you start doing t2 boss runs on a regular basis. Preferably you should pick the gate with the most t2 arena levels, since these have the best drop rates; normally a t2 boss gate will have one or two arenas.
The alternative is to repeatedly solo run the mission 'Rise and Fall', since it gives the highest crown drop - about 3k of pure crowns for three levels, meaning about 3.5k cr of profit for every 100 ce used (this taking the ce cost to be 6.5k cr). This doesn't minerals and materials into account. The reason I say 'solo' is due to the fact that the first level of that mission is a Wolver Den, and the ingredients that can be obtained there will fetch good market prices if sold.

Current jelly king gate has an arena on d14. Worth it, but you also have the option of the rt gate, which I believe has a rotating arena.

I hate Roarmulus twins. never felt worth the effort. Stick to Jelly King. Once you can reliably do a T3 run, Vanaduke is of course the most profitable. But any T3 run that ends at the core ought to turn a profit. Right now, from the terminal down to vanaduke, I make between 8-9k cr, which is more than enough to buy 100 ce (and usually I only spend 50 on the trip). When doing the missions, Rise or Fall and actually most of the Rank 6 missions netted me 1k per level played (so a 2 level mission had around 2k, 3 level had around 3k). In my opinion, that pays for itself: consider that for every 10 energy you spend, you are making 1000 CR. So by the time you use a whole mist tank, you've made 10k cr, which again, more than enough to buy you another 100 energy on the market.
To sum up: I'd say the rank 6 missions start to be profitable. In general I have found that the prestige missions are NOT profitable.
You can wait 22 hours for your mist tank to be full or you can buy crystal energy off the market.
