Is it directly multiplicative (2 ppl = 2x hp)? Or is there some other formula used? I just beat Vanaduke solo for the first time and it just occurred to me that I didn't know this one fact.

First off

Congrats on the solo! And I don't know the exact scaling, but it isn't a direct multiplier. It scales more from 3 to 4 members I believe, than from 2 to 3, but it is less than a direct multiplier.

I think it scales like this. (Though I don't have any factual backup on this)

1 person: 1x HP
2 persons: 1.5x HP
3 persons: 2x HP
4 persons: 2.5x HP

Maybe someone else has some actual knowledge on this subject.

Well, in the FSC, using a DA w/ max heat and DMG bonus, it takes me 2 hits solo, 3 for 2 & 3, and 4 for a full party to kill a red rover (that is, if I always use and connect with the entire combo; it takes a few more whacks if I gotta just spam the first attack).

Best way to test this is to have some guy with a proto sword count how much damage it takes him to kill a monster in each party configuration. You could use a more powerful weapon, but then the margin of error is greater. I lack the patience and sufficient amount of insanity to do this.

I did some testing on this a while back. Each additional party member increases monster HP by 33% of the base value, at least for Depth 1. I'm pretty sure this rule applies to the Clockworks in general, though.

Depth 1 Gun Puppy
1 person: 40 HP
2 people: 53 HP
3 people: 66 HP
4 people: 80 HP

Thanks Otaia, that's really helpful. This info really should be in the wiki.
