Hello everyone, I need a bit of advice.

You see, I use a desktop mac mini, and at times SK is incredibly laggy at times, even with graphics on low.
I've played on a couple PC/laptop's before, and their pretty good for playing SK, hardly any lag. But I can't seem to remember their names..

But at the same time.. Any suggestions? Something 600$ or less..

my specs on HP G62 notebook

AMD athlon II p340 2.20 GHz dual core ( i would recommend i3 intel or i5 even though is a bit more expensive)
4.00 GB ram
Graphics card ATI mobility radeon HD 4250

this was a $ 400 on sale i bought it before i5 came out

the lag on the game is very little and i would say that its server sided

i can run games like portal 2 on med-low settings with no problem.

Well you're basically not gonna find one.

The lag is insane as it is, and you probably wont find one to run at a constant 60 FPS for 5 hours straighton this game at max graphics.

But here's my specs for my laptop:

Toshiba Satellite E205 Blue Label'

EDIT: This was about $1200 though (^^;

Windows 7 Home premium (64-bit)
4.00 GB Ram
NVIDIA GEFORCE 310M graphics card
Intel i5 Core Processor (2 cores, 4 Logical Processors) 2.53 GHz

The worst I get is random lag spikes and ISP fails (I'm on AT&T U-verse -.-)

I don't expect that you'll find a Blue Label one, but something with these specs that we gave are pretty decent for gaming, but laptops aren't for gaming, so you'll still lag quite a bit.

I'm going to make this easier

I'm going to make this easier for you:

It has integrated graphics (it's great quality for mid-range gaming...384mb!), but the processor and physical memory is enough to run it flawlessly.

You can't get a good gaming

You can't get a good gaming laptop for less than $600. Actually, there's no such thing as a good gaming laptop. If you want a computer for games, get a desktop.

You can get a laptop that will play Spiral Knights on medium settings for about $600, though. My laptop cost $800 but I bought it a year and a half ago, so you can probably get something with similar specs (listed below) for $600 now. I recommend looking for deals on newegg.com.

HP Pavillion dv6
Processor: AMD Phenom II P940 (4x1.7GHz)
Graphics: ATI Mobility Radeon 5650
Memory: 4GB

Hmm

I used to play on an $800 HP Pavillion dv7. Runs really well, but the laptop overheated constantly so had to set up desk fans, a cooling pad, raise it up, use an ice pack, etc... I'd play on Low and only occasionally have a lag issue in the Clockworks. Maybe once every 30 minutes some frames would skip. Purposely trying to lag it (FSC, High settings, lots of fire) it would freeze for a moment every 30 seconds.

The lag was only noticeable in Lockdown when going up against strikers that have no lag. By comparison, my new gaming rig, a desktop, has relatively zero lag and doubled my Lockdown damage. The only place it has problems is running on High in URJP or UFSC.

Asus is one of the high end

Asus is one of the high end computer makers. I doubt you could find one within your budget range.

See how the specs completely obliterate the one you were looking for? Don't shop anywhere else you will get ripped.

The laptop you posted uses

The laptop you posted uses Intel HD graphics. So it will work with SK, but it's not going to knock your socks off and you really have to make sure you keep on top of your drivers. Given all the problems Intel integrated graphics gave users here (and still do *cough*fullscreen crashes*cough*) I'm very hesitant to recommend them.

If you're looking for decent graphics performance on the cheap you'd likely be better off purchasing a laptop using AMD's A series CPU/GPU combo. One example here is the HP Pavillion g6z. Just be aware that as the A# goes up so does graphics power (and the price!).

@Neodasus, sorry, wasn't trying to ignore you. From your post it didn't seem like you had past experience with it, so I wasn't sure.
Oh, forget the whole past experience thing.

Anyway, Neo, so thats a laptop you would recommend? The link you just posted? (Not being sarcastic)

I think it's great for your budget, but you should look around if you want a larger screen or longer battery life

The laptop I just showed you has a gpu which pretty much outdoes any of the integrated cards you commonly see in this price range. YOu are getting the best deal for your money with this laptop.
