a limit bar that shows how long u have to wait or how many
orbs u need to gather b4 u can use ur berserk mode or special move
how cool would be that?
in berserk mode u would be overpowered and smash monsters everyway
a special move u would do things like 1 huge slash that hits alot of monsters.
or just special moves like in super smash bros brawl u know :P
how cool would this be?
share ur opinon :D
Berserk mode or Special move (both?)
very true but its not as cool as going berserk lets say u have a bar and when it reaches 100% u can transform into a raging badass that destroys all
or u got a bar when that reaches 100% u can do a special move thats way stronger than the 1 ur thinking of.
like in kingdomhearts u got limit, it be sort of the same.
I was thinking more of like
You kill monsters
And a bar fills up
And then when its full
You press a button
And you character like has an explosion around him, initial damage
And for 1 minute you have higher damage and high attack speed
You are covered in an aura of your characters color
thats also freakin cool!
Why this remember me some of the actual hack and slash games, where you can do everything by just getting a lot of energy to unleash brute force to finish it all? i see that most bosses will not have even a little of strategy if we can use this bar whenever we want, and if it stays active for too much time. I would want to see some strategy in boss battles, like needing to repel the boss attacks to himself to open his defense.
I could agree in a special bar, if it have a duration of more or less 30 seconds, and is quite fast to fill, but you can't activate it whenever you like: it activate when it fills, automatically. Or, in beserk (if you have the same reference as beserk as i do) would be activated only when the character have one bar or less of life, and would not work with other weapons that aren't swords (because it would be too powerfull). It would be your last grasp of hope, to let you fight a little harder (like, a 5 second invulnerability, followed by a strenght powerup), and not your main strategy (letting yourself get to 1 bar of health, and then only safelly gun your way out of the monsters).
I don't think so. Would only be useful in arenas or against bosses, which aren't really common. The rest of the time it would only make an easy game, even easier.
And it would make no sense for bombs and guns.
"It would be cool" is not a reason to get something in a game. The question is more along the lines of "Would it be fun every time?" and "does it fit with the current game mechanics and difficulty?"
Also, you're missing some letters in your words dude. It's not cool these days.
would not be fun, at least for me, that like some chalenge...i was just trying to balance the idea a litle..also trying to maintain the chalenge, because everyone knows that something that ower ups the guns would make the game too easy. Also, i just put in bombs too because i consider then like projectiles. Talking about projectiles...spur special now is oficially useless in great combats...the enemies now are evading much more than before any ranged attacks...and they seen to wait till the last moment for you to unleash the special, so they can leap out of the way... I think that making these kind of specials more fast and wider (projectiles are fast, and explode in a wider area, even if it explodes sooner...). Just putting mi mind here though..i still love that weapon, for now.
The main reason being that every game since 2005 has had something like this and it's just an I win button.
Either a I win button or The only way to dmg the boss button, either way it's on par as the qta rage.
Both are annoying gimmicks that's lost what ever factors they had at least 10 years ago.
sadly, the games where it function quite right now are those newer games that are, like, Turn RPGs, where you can actually use it as a tatic, rather than a "I win", and in rack and slash games, where you see millions of minions in a screen, that just serve as targets for training, rather than a nuisance, and you want to clean then fast. For this kind of game, doing any kind of beserk would be an i win button, as stated by shoebox.
But, as i said, in the case that more people could like the idea, i just tryed to make the idea more chalenge friendly, so it would not be too overpowered.
I am also against this idea. The fights are well balanced for now, or even a bit too easy at some levels. I don't see a need for even more power, be it only of temporary use once in a while?
We can charge our weapons, and after a few seconds, a special, more powerful shot is fired. (Depending on what sword you're using, this charged attack can be one of several very different types)
How is this suggestion different?
