Just curious, is this shield any good? I'm not sure, since it has high normal defense and health, but only stun resist and no specialized defense at all.

It is one of the best shields
It is one of the best shields for gremlin zones. But it seems like they are getting elemental added to their damage, so this might not apply after missions release.

Hmm
I agree, the only place I currently use Ancient Plate is in Decon Zones. I'm likely to abandon that for Grey Owlite.
The novelty of having a full Ancient set should not be underestimated though, if you are a completionist or whatnot.

The Ancient Plate Shield is
The Ancient Plate Shield is nice for the last part of SL, The Unknown Passage. It's really only useful for its "freeness" though; it is outclassed by both the VPS and the Ironmight Plate Shield. I guess Decon Zone is a good place for it, but I usually run these with a SS or BTB. Though it has been a while since I ran a Stratum 6 Decon Zone & I would take my Grey Owlite Shield for a Fire themed stratum 6 Decon for sure (though VPS would be even better at the moment).

It is not god enough, since his normal defense is even biger than volcanic plate shield, the last is better because is resistence to fire. so i prefer volcanic plate shield over the ancient
