I love my Flourish so much but if the sword use for slime, I will got very low damage like 14 damage per swing. Yeah I know that slime resist piercing but why the damage is so low?!. But, if I use Avenger sword for Gremlin or Beast it will give you moderate damage like 64 per hit. The Gremlin or Beast is resist elemental but why deal 64 damage per swing? Why not like 30 damage or 40?. It's unfair! Spiral Knight should fix this. Seriously...

You fail to realize that Avenger is split between normal and elemental. The reason Avenger does more damage to Gremlin/Beast than Flourish to Slime/Construct is because the normal half of Avenger's damage does not suffer the damage penalty that the elemental half gets when facing a resistant monster.
Flourish is pure damage so all of its damage gets counted into the penalty, not just half.
