Why do people hate BN???
Hi guys,
I've noticed that barely anyone plays BN these days. There's usually only about 10 people total in both FFA and Team BN. Yet, so many go for LD.
WHYYY??????
I mean, come on. In LD, you need good gear that has to be either 1*, 3*, or 5*. In BN, you can be in Proto and compete just as well as everyone else. In LD, a single person can be the deciding factor in a match. In BN, FFA games are entirely decided by you. You don't have to rely on others in FFA, or you can co-op in Team. It requires more strategy and does not require max UV's and trinkets. You only need 4 people to play BN, but you need 8 for a LD game.
Why, then, do 100's of people choose LD and barely anyone plays BN?? Please offer me your intelligence on this matter.

BN is as laggy as LD, and neither game has a particularly high skill cap. People just prefer to play LD because of the more interesting gameplay and because they can show off their gear. LD is more Spiral Knights-like, so it only makes sense thàt people playing Spiral Knights would prefer it to a Bomberman remake.
There's still plenty of people that play BN though. I don't have much trouble finding a game when I want to play.

Personally, I hate Lockdown. Unless it's Tier 1. Then again, I'm not much of a bomber, either, so, I guess this is a useless bump. Maybe because you can show off your swords there? Maybe because you can hide in the camp and /e flips off (insert name of noob who got a lucky hit on you here) the entire game and still possibly win? Idk...

I don't hate it because I'm terrible at Bomberman and I have Bomberman Blitz on my DS if I want to fight CPUs and players who are much, much better than me. BN and T1 LD are my most reliable sources of coins and bribes since I'm usually better than or equal to most players. You do have to put up with a lot of delays most days and forget about having games larger than 4 people, though.

I used to love Super Bomberman for the SNES and I dominated at it. I've played other versions of bomberman too and always had a good time with them. If I had 3 friends to play with often enough, I'd go find my copy and pull it out.
BN is slow and awkward. You have to pause and place bombs, you can't just run and drop. No great options like punch or kick, and the bombs explode weird (one square at a time, instead of instantaneous). I just don't like the game.

It is extremely laggy for me compared to LD. =/

Because the game is based on the SK combat system. Dropping bombs has a certain attack speed and the movement is very imprecise since it is not tile based. It's laggy because the bombs explode the same way the brandish and polaris explode but it explodes for every since tile so once you get the blast size up and the number of bombs exploding at once up it starts lagging.
I have to say I adore BN. Ive probably played it a lot more than the clockworks the last few months. Lockdown however I've hardly played. I played it for about 2 days when it first came out and hardly touched it since. True I seem to suffer very low lag which probably helps a lot in BN.

Blast network is my all time favorite thing to do in Spiral Knights. But because of such the low amount of players it takes me 30 minutes to join a game >.>

I love Bomberman,,, I MEAN Battle Network.

Although it's similar to bomberman it doesn't have the bomberman feel.
Bomberman is fast paced and fluid and I prefer the bomb explosion/detonation mechanics.
But Blast Networks is slow and laggy. The most annoying thing about it is getting stuck/trapped on placed bombs and the bomb count upgrade not working correctly (although it's pretty hard to put down 5 bombs and evade to safety anyways).
At least it's the fastest way to farm krogmo coins
Simply because BN is extremely laggy, and you can't prove how "pro" you are as easily, and there's no way to get good gear to get an advantage.
