My weapons are:

Slot 1: Divine Avenger [always]

Slot 2: Final Flourish [always]

Slot 3: Argent Peacemaker [solo], Plasma Capacitor [teamplay]

Slot 4: Polaris [solo], Prisma Driver [teamplay]

I primarily have trouble with these places:

- Charred Court: bottom left room (w/ ghost blocks and spikes in the middle), upper right room (gun puppy), bottom right room (trojan and a switch that controls a gate)

- Smoldering Steps: last arena

- Vanaduke boss fight itself

I'm mostly looking for helpful tips, though you can make gear recommendations if you want to.

Charred court: Charge the ff

Charred court: Charge the ff and step on the pad. Rush that trojan. Killing him opens the gates to move the totem to clear a space to fight zombies.

Smoldering: Lure the last zombies to the drop, charge ff with the last hit. Solo, you can kill trojans rather fast with a quick one two shield cancel. Finish off that wave. Open the blocks and kite the zombies with ap/da/whatever you want. Leave the trojans, although take a few hits if it is safe. Leave the double trojans until you can safely take them.

Vana: Solo? Ap or polaris. Use the ff for first phase, and ff or da for the mask. Switch to ap or polaris for the other body phases. On p5, focus on watering the floor before dealing damage. Bait a few mace smashes to make sure all falling debris won't spawn more tiles. Proceed to turn vana, throwing the occasional water to thin down his orbits and poisons vial.

Apply that to non shiverblitz parties. In a shiver blitz, go fight slags with your da.

Charred Court

I can help with Charred Court.

For the bottom left room, there pretty much are two options. If you have the time, you can charge in, press the button, and then retreat behind the barrier. Eventually, all the zombies will collect around you, the Trojan will follow and then the Trojan will begin randomly attacking (Either the zap zap pulse or swings if you are close enough). As long as you are behind the barrier, you wont take damage. However, the Zombies will still be getting hit. Therefore, if you wait long enough, the Trojan can kill all the zombies for you. Once dead, then it is dealing with a Trojan as usual.

The second option is trying to get a preemptive attack. The Trojan will always spawn in the far left, facing the middle. Charge your FF, and let an ally press the button. You should get a chunk out of the health of the Trojan right there. From there, you just have to spin around the Trojan, swiping away Zombies with FF shield-cancel strikes. Ideally, have an ally guard you (or guard an ally).

Now for the Rocket Puppy room! This is one of the more infamous rooms. I often see one person aggros the Rocket Puppy while the other runs around getting the Zombies. I DON'T suggest this unless you are using the Polaris to stun lock the Rocket Puppy. Ideally, you want to evade getting the Rocket Puppy to attack at all. I go clockwise in the Rocket Puppy Room. I know, you are suppose to go counter-clockwise, taking you in front of the Rocket Puppy. However, there are ways you can hit the Ghost Blocks and go clockwise.

First of all, you need the enemies to spawn. Hit the bottom left ghost block, and then stick a toe into the bottom section, before retreating. Do this until the enemies spawn, and ideally you wont get the Rocket Puppy to Spawn. Make sure you retreat to the first section (on the left). Once they spawn, kill the zombies in the first area, then pull the zombies in the bottom area to the left area. Once you kill those, then start going clockwise. There are two ways to do this, Polaris and Shock Vials. Knock out the destroyable blocks, and shoot Polaris Charge shots into the clump of zombies by the top left wall. If you inflict shock on the correct zombie, the damage will be applied to the Ghost Block, allowing you to run to the top section from the left section. This also works with Shock Vials. Once in the top section, kill the zombies there, and repeat with the right section. Once all the zombies in the right section are dead, then the door will open, and you will be able to get the sprite without aggroing the Rocket Puppy.

Now for the bottom right with the switch... there isn't an ideal strategy. Its all about speed. Getting to the sprite should be straight forward. Once there, kill the three zombies as quickly as possible. If the Trojan gets released before the Zombies die, switch to your FF and just go after the Silkwings. They will drift over the remaining zombies, and the swing arc is large enough to hit both the Silkwings and the Zombies. Make sure you keep in motion so you can evade the Trojan. Once they are dead, you just have to get used to killing Trojans in close quarters.

The bottom left room ?

ive easily soloed all the rooms myself, but im a bomber.. i dont know many swordie tricks, but it helps in the bottom left room if you lure the trojan to the blue forcefield, or freeze him in place with a shiver and spam him to death like i do XD

rocket puppy

Here is how to do the rocket puppy room with no special equipment at all...just whatever weapon you need to kill zombies (e.g. elemental sword). Disclaimer: I didn't invent this, and it takes a little extra time, and your teammates can mess it up.

A. Open the southwest blocks, to release the monsters. Kill the monsters in the west section. Lure the south monsters into the west and kill them.

B. Enter the south section, draw the aggro of the rocket puppy, and retreat to the west section. (You have to do this quickly and precisely.) Edit: As the next poster points out, you can do this more safely by just staying in the west section and throwing any vial at the rocket puppy.

C. Exit the room through the energy barrier, as far to the north along that barrier as you can. The goal here is to get the rocket puppy pointing at the northern end of that energy barrier.

D. Walk off and do other parts of Depth 25, to let the rocket puppy drop its aggro.

E. Return to the rocket puppy room. Enter at the south end of the energy barrier. If the rocket puppy aggros on you, then return to Step C. Otherwise, you're fine; just clear the room in counterclockwise order. The rocket puppy will not aggro on you.

@Bopp's methodI do this, but

@Bopp's method

I do this, but I don't do B) like he does. I toss a vial (anything you don't care about). It is safer since I know I won't get trapped in the south section.

Also, for D, I just walk into the middle of the room immediately to the left and come back, since by that time the rocket puppy has stopped attacking.

The other thing, is someone is very likely to walk in trigger the rocket puppy and say "@#$@! who screwed up the puppy room!?!". At which point (while you are still killing zombies) you can respond "you, I was doing fine" as you dodge the rockets that he is triggering. So, you may want to give explicit orders to not even walk close to the rocket puppy room.

@bottom right room

This one is actually way easier than most people seem to think if you can solo a trojan. You should easily be able to kill all 3 zombies before the trojan breaks the brick wall. I do this with a combuster/voltedge by making sure I'm hitting 2 at a time and just doing regular combos. Once those 3 are done, the silkwings drop like flies and the trojan is a 1-on-1 battle. For a 1-on-1 trojan battle I just stand directly in front of him and wait for the tell. When I see it, I side step and unleash a full combo on his back.

@bottom left room

I just got really good at killing trojans while solo. So, I just stand infront of him until he either attacks or buffs (buffs are better since they knock the zombies back). I only pay attention to the trojan and shield bump the zombies away. If you get surrounded too much, you can walk off to another corner. Also, you can kill a few zombies in corners if you are a safe distance away from the trojan.

I use Polaris to shock the

I use Polaris to shock the Zombies behind the blocks. Shock breaks the block, rush in and kill everything, repeat. You'll want auto-aim off and you can just use a shock vial if you aren't lucky. If I prematurely kill them and I'm out of Shock vials, I just stun-lock the puppy and run past.

Gun Puppy room can be easier

Gun Puppy room can be easier that that. If you have Polaris or AP, open the south and just step in to spawn zombies, clear west, lure and kill south, disengage autoaim and kill north. Sometimes you're lucky and an errant explosion will open the north, sometimes not. If it does, run in and sword-kill. unautoaim and kill the east.

if you don't break the north wall and make it into the north end, kill west/south/north with guns, frag the gunpuppy with gun spam, and when it's gone, run through south to east.

Nordlead, you are right that Step B is the most risky, and that throwing a vial completely removes the risk. Good point.

Tengu, I'm not sure who you're responding to. In case it was me, I'll just emphasize that the entire point of my post was to give a method that requires no special equipment at all --- for example, no gun at all. If you have special equipment, then you can do it in other ways, yes.

- Charred Court: bottom left

- Charred Court: bottom left room (w/ ghost blocks and spikes in the middle), upper right room (gun puppy), bottom right room (trojan and a switch that controls a gate)

Bottom Left Spike Room: 2 ways to do it. Charge FF, hit button, and rush the Trojan (let it do its axe attack if you need to). Other is hit the button, rush the Trojan, let it do its axe attack then 2 hits, shield and back up a step, then 3 hits... yes you can get all 3 in before it turns around if you time it right. :) After that should be easy.

Rocket Puppy Room: Hit the ghost block and trigger the Zombies, move back to the west area quickly and kill the first 3 Zombies. Open the ghost block and lure the 2nd three Zombies into the first area and kill them. If you have your Polaris just spam the Puppy and rush to the east area and continue on. If you have the Prisma Driver knock a few charged shots into it (you may have to shield a rocket or 2). Finish room.

Trojan Switch Room: Get in the room and kill the zombies while the Trojan is breaking the blocks. Bait the Trojan into either its axe attack or a charge and kill the Silkwings. Kill Trojan-man, then finish the room.

- Smoldering Steps: last arena

Initial wave: Trigger the Party Button and rush back to the bottom, kill at least one of the Puppies when the blocks go down. Kill the other quickly, then concentrate on the Trojan.

First real wave: Left side has 3 Zombies, right has more. I'd kill the right side first personally. Kill all but one zombie, heal if you need to, and lure it to the top (assuming solo) and kill it up there.

Second wave: Kill the Trojan asap. You may have to bait it to do an attack, shield bump Zombies away so you can. Kill all but one Zombie again and do like you did for the first wave.

Last wave: Kill one of the Trojans. If you can kill the other, good! If not then move to another section of the room. Keep moving and kill the Zombies. When you have breathing room kill the 2nd Trojan.

- Vanaduke boss fight itself

Phase 1 and 3: Kill the Zombies so they're out of your way. For phase 1 use your FF on Vana. You can do that Phase 3 also if you decide to keep putting out his fires. Otherwise I'd use your Polaris/AP to kill phase 3. Remember not to do the last shot as it will trigger the reload animation, leaving you open to get hit.

Phase 2 and 4: Put him out and use your FF to hit the head. First 2 strikes, shield and repeat. You can easily get in 6-8 hits that should out-damage your other options actually. Repeat until the head is dead.

Phase 5: Ignore the Slag Guards. Shoot and kite is the name of the game. Keep your kiting path clear of fire as much as possible. The Slag Guards target where you are when they start their attack and just charge. As long as you keep moving they won't hit you. Again, DON'T do the last shot. Keep moving and you should be able to kill Vana with minimal issues.

This is just me, but if you have a Volt Edge or Glacius with a decent CTR you might want to swap that in place of the AP. The charge just eats through things in FSC. By no means is it necessary, but if you have one you might like it. :)
