....

Because this IS a good idea, I won't point out that there were several topics/threads on this before, and that the search function may have been used to find them.

Won't even hint it.

Meh, +1 because I still want this.

@Psychodestroyer:

"CC" stands for Carbon-Copy.

It's typically most commonly used in E-mails...and in that case it basically sends the E-mail to multiple people. The original to the original destination, then a Carbon Copy to other E-mail addresses that you want to send a copy of the E-mail to.

You can also use a "BCC" I think it's called? Something like that. It makes the CC invisible so that the original receiver of the E-mail doesn't see who the CC was sent to.

More off topic...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the origin of the term "carbon copy" is actually like those pink and yellow copies that you sometimes find attached to white office papers. When you write on the white one, the pressure causes the writing to carry over onto the pink and yellow copies, and those copies can be filed away in other places. I guess nowadays people can just photocopy things, but I think those pink and yellow ones are still around in some places.

Anyway, regardless of whether this idea has been suggested already or not, +1 because one hotkey is more convenient than two clicks.

@Schattentag:

I would correct you but I'm honestly not sure. Since it is a "Carbon" copy, I assume it is something similar to that.

Well, yes.."two clicks" but a little extra mouse movement, not to mention that I usually accidentally click right above the Gate Map and have to do it again.

Actually carbon copies

Actually carbon copies predate those carbonless multi-part forms. They originate from the use of carbon paper to duplicate typed or handwritten documents; the carbon paper sat between the top sheet which you wrote or typed on, and the bottom sheet which would receive the duplicate. You would write or type a memo or letter, and then could send the "carbon copy" to a second person.

anyways + 1. Also, in the tutorial (or arcade) when they tell you about the gate map, they should clearly state that it can also be seen by clicking the item in the menu while inside the clockworks. Everyone knows about the gatemap when you go up to the elevator in the arcade, but a lot of people don't know about the menu item.
