Hey there everyone, and hopefully the people at OOO. So far I am absolutely loving the new mission system, however there is one major piece of design that was either overlooked purposefully ignored by the design team.
The new mission interface (the access from anywhere button on the top of the screen) completely ruins the need to run around Haven. Right now there are clumps of players either idle or using the mission interface right at the spawn points. The action house has a third of its usual population, and hardly anyone is running around.
I noticed this right at the beginning of the intro mission where it was teleporting you to the various places and NPC's to interact with. I must say finding the NPC the good ol fashioned way in the beginning of the first crash landing camp and in haven when you had to talk to this or that guy to find where you needed to go.
Rambling around, exploring and having to go from point A to C to E to D and then finally B is fundamental design for adventure gaming. It forces the player to explore the surroundings and find the unexpected treasures that lie in the corners.
Please, Three Rings, I know this is just the first night of the release, but Fix this. Put up a Grand Mission Station in an unused area in Haven. There's plenty of them, or something, but don't take away the need to run around everywhere. I miss it already.

The missions act as a tutorial session. It ends so far at Roarmulus. I think they're allowing speed-up to get around (I hate waiting one minute for the thing to load every single time I want to go to three places at once). Maybe the talking to people could be nostalgic, but this actually gives new players a good push. Don't worry, some things will pass and go.
