Gotta say, while everyone is getting excited (or angry) about the obvious new changes, I'm happy for some of the small ones that mostly seem to be going unnoticed as well.

Love the new look of the arenas I've seen so far; I'm not even sure how many more little (or big) things I've walked past without noticing in levels, but the things I've noticed look great!

One thing I noticed

The game now tells you how many crowns you earned at the end of a run.

Dear lord. The price of CE is going to be skyrocketing if that's the case.
Not only can players now go to the most profitable levels without going through less profitable levels...
OOO now gives us the ability to calculate what is more profitable without any error, so there is no longer any excuse for running non-profitable levels.

What about, just for the fun of it? :'(

@wolfkitOOO's new addition

@wolfkit

OOO's new addition to the end run display is less accurate than a piece of paper and a pen, which is what I was doing before and is 100% accurate. I really don't think adding that is going to make any difference to CE prices, since everyone already knew that boss runs (in general) always paid out more than non-boss runs. And everyone knows that RJP pays out slightly more than IMF.

Holy threadjack.

Yeah, seeing how many crowns you get from a run is nice, but really? That's all you guys come up with for new changes that you like?

Has no one else noticed the references in some of the missions?
I was playing through "Time Enough At Last" kinda scratching my head as to why a Scarlet Fortress mission would be titled that. All of the other ones to that point were clever, but self-explanatory.

Then I got the end, and laughed my head off when I got the reference. :P It really got me in the zone (to complete more missions.) ;)

OOO, my hat goes off to you guys for adding so much more character to a game that already had more than most games do simply from the art style.

I stopped playing missions on the test server around the second hall of heroes visit because I didn't want to spoil the experience for myself once I saw HOW MUCH was being added. I'm glad to see there are even some surprises in missions I already played (though I miss the awesome choking cloud of confetti that used to be in the office party mission. :P)

Hmmm

My fav is the Ready room.

The rest can burn, BUT NOT THE READY ROOM! >:D

Man, ONE thread came up about the cr counter, and I voted against it, but it goes through.

Yep, wind...

There are new rugs in lots of levels!

The jelly piles in the Royal Jelly Palace seem to have gotten a... jelly-lift? um... yeah.

@Toastnaut

Yup, I noticed the jelly piles in the RJP are... rounder. They aren't the blocky piles anymore. There are a ton of art updates overall.

I noticed that the arena mission had different carpets, but I don't know if the clockworks arena levels got the same remodeling. (And only Bechamel knows if the new carpet matches the drapes)

@ Nicoya

Yep, all of the arenas seem to have been redecorated, even in the arcade.
Since you mentioned drapes, they got new drapes too with the carpets, so it must have been Bechamel that they snuck down there to redecorate. :P

Some other stuff:

Hitting a monster and doing no damage (Snarby and Grimalkins for example) is telegraphed by a pink sparkle.

Party buttons make a poof of smoke when you push them down.

When your shield gets hit, it sends out sparks and waves.

Stone blocks have a more detailed crumbling effect.

Haze bombs have a crystal

Haze bombs have a crystal shatter like animation when they detonate.
The PvP screen and the AH screen both have a pop up effect though it's not very smooth(due to lag?).

Thank you Toastnaut

I too, love the new changes, and am truly enjoying the new missions. I'm thrilled that someone has taken the time to post positives about this, and not complain about one thing or another.

Well done sir. Well done.

Thx Perronius :)

Features aside, I think I've had as much fun with some of the bugs that have crept into the game as with new content.

I'm currently locked in my guild hall (before anyone points it out, I know I can use the menu :P) and entertaining a few guildmates who I have blamed for locking the doors from the outside.

Kinda wish I'd gotten a screen cap of my knight on top of that tall ladder before it was fixed too. XD
