There was some discussion about this topic over on the test server.
Today, my monstrous prestige mission for 40 prestige points - turn in one each of: A gel drop, a bronze bolt and an enamorock.
The monstrous research mission from the day before was one each of a red, light and dark shard for 60 points.
Do we see just a bit of lunacy with (a) the trade in requirements and (b) the prestige point values assigned?
Could we please, please either:
(1) remove harder to obtain or "rare" requirements from this type of mission
or
(2) set a point value for the component itself and assign prestige points accordingly.
As an experienced player, I know enough to know that today's mission is just a bad deal all the way around.
A new / newer player is not.
(yes, odds are they may not have an enamorock, but there is no way to undo the mission if you click that button).
Total agreement!
I don't mind a few prestige points for a few random materials, but there needs to be some scaling!
Yesterday it wanted me to turn in a Static Capacitor in exchange for the same or less prestige that I'd get for a few minerals and shards, that's just a wee bit wrong. There's more grinding in /earning/ a Static Capacitor than in a whole level block of normal missions!
I've played a fair bit, so maybe I have the resources lying around but I'm not inclined to waste them arbitrarily.
((also personally speaking, I know the whole prestige thing is entirely optional... but the supply drop missions are a bit weak don't you think? As in obvious crown sinks... why not make the 3 levels of supply pack random drops in the clockworks commensurate with the tiers?))
