Fewer crowns in Mission boss runs?

I did 3 full Royal Jelly Palace Mission runs today and the mission report thing at the end only reported a gain of 2.2-2.6k cr each time. I was then invited to a D14 Arena + RJP and I gained 5.2k cr. I'm fairly sure that the Arena alone did not make the 3k difference in crowns, and I recall getting 3-3.5k crowns from RJP alone. Has anyone else noticed this disparity? I also only got around 1.2k from the Snarbolax mission and about 2k from the Roarmulus mission.

If the missions do indeed reward fewer crowns, then the Arcade would still be worth visiting.

I'm pretty sure it's only the

I'm pretty sure it's only the JK mission.

The Sovereign Slime:

D14 Garden of Goo > D15 Red Carpet Runaround > D16 Battle Royale

Royal Jelly Palace:

D14 ??? > D15 Garden of Goo > D16 Red Carpet Runaround > D17 Battle Royale

Ignoring the random level, you make less crowns in the mission because all the jelly palace levels were bumped back a depth.

that was the first thing i

that was the first thing i noticed even back on the test server. crown and heat payout is less. and to me at least since I got an elevator pass its not like its a big waste of time to go the gate route rather than the mission jump start.

I noticed the same thing.

I noticed the same thing. Both in the test and here.

If you're running on mist and can get a boost, you're better off doing clockworks vs doing boss runs via the missions. If your goal is trinkets or you have a pass, well then it may be better to do the mission runs.

I never noticed Katmint's observations, that could explain it.

I'm glad that nerfed the mission boss runs vs through the arcade.

Arenas do give lots of crowns, before the jelly mission there's one 'slime showdown arena' mission that starts with 2 'pre-basil' levels (supposedly very few rewards) and end ups giving around 3kcr, wich is more than RJP mission.

Tho Katmint may still be right.

The mission rjp gives way

The mission rjp gives way less heat and quite a bit less crowns. I'm going to guess it was a smart decision made by them to preserve the clockworks. Now with missions people really have no reason to actually go in the clockworks, which means less CE spent, in theory.

The mission is also easier to defeat, I think, than the actual RJP. Just a small and slight situation and reason for it.

Probably just because each

Probably just because each enemy has less HP.

Thanks, I didn't notice that the floors were different.

Mission RJP starts at floor

Mission RJP starts at floor 14, regular RJP starts at floor 15. I noticed it as soon as I started the mission, and I know that depth affects payouts just from doing back to back arenas (when there are like 3 arenas in a row in T3).

I think (can't remember) that the opposite is true for IMF and it starts at 16 instead of 15.
