I need help choosing one.

I know their basic stats, and I was just wondering what one serves a better purpose OVERALL!

Thanks for the info!

Well the Sinister Skelly

Well the Sinister Skelly Shield gets Poison resistance, which is a fairly common status.

So if you need to choose one of them, I would choose the Skelly Shield.

Get a Firebreak Shield too (if you haven't already got one) just because that Fire Resistance is a necessity for a lot of Dungeons.

Jelly is currently better

For now, since the big bad boss of the dungeon is Vanaduke, You wouldn't have any use for the skelly since it gives poison/curse resist. Firebreak shield would be best, since vanaduke map burns like hell. but of the 2, jelly would be more useful since there are more stunning monsters than poisoning ones. Highest chance to get stunned in my experience is from hitting the thorns in graveyard. Stuns you can get get everywhere.

Coin toss: Get stunned and move slow or be useless?

You have to weigh up the effects of the statuses though.

Resisting a stun is no good if you only do 10 damage to enemies at any given time.

I would consider Poison and Curse to be on the very dangerous end of Statuses, just below Fire, simply because their effects are so passively destructive people tend to ignore them.

Shock and stun you can walk off, monsters aren't liable to hit you. If you're with teammates, there's actually less chance you'll suffer for being stunned or shocked.
But if you're poisoned, you're pretty much useless.

Skelle definitely, poison is

Skelle definitely, poison is more important to block
But I've found a liking to the heavy plate shield
It has the highest defense I can find(besides the tortoise)
And since vanduke is gone now, ember isn't that important as it was before

For Vanaduke I used a fire

For Vanaduke I used a fire shield. Since he's gone right now I'm rocking the scarlet shield solely for the +1 health.

sad

and thinking about it...i'm netting about 120 coins everyday because of the serpent gate...
I didn't thought that vanaduke was a cyclabe level. I thought it was more like a permanet level that all gates would have.
So there's still hope for a far wide variety of boss rooms, with nes bosses before the core? :D

Im netting 540 crowns a day

Im netting 540 crowns a day from the new serpent gate! :D
And boswick explained it to us
Certain mineral conditions must be met for a boss to cycle into a map
So like
X of this and X of that for this boss
X of this and X of that for another boss
We only know of Vanduke at this point though
I've heard of other bosses though from friends in game and devs
