Hi!

Has OOO rings ever expressed plans to use spiral spy to their advantage? Look at all of the NPC customization that is available on that thing! Wouldn't it be a neat idea if OOO allowed players to pay (a good lump of money) to pick and create a costume piece of armor using the variants in it? Players would not have access to monster only things, or soon to be released items and the like; only mix and match existing armors like the Spiral command variant of cobalt armor etc.

It would allow for increased customization that everyone wants, and rake in some money as well. I'm sure that OOO would approve new costumes on a case by case basis, so they can still control what is put in the game!

thoughts?

A little bit more than just

A little bit more than just NO would be appreciated, why not?

I see no arguments against it, I think it would be a great way for OOO to maintain a profit while shifting somewhat to levels and gear for players who don't pay. Who knows in the future we may see less of things in lockboxes!

It just seems like a nice way to give the players what they want and get money while doing so, but if people REALLY don't want it; why?

Spiral Spy is not made by

Spiral Spy is not made by OOO, its a third party program made by Spiral-Spy the user, your probably also unfamiliar with what I use Spiral Spy for in the Treasure Vault thread, or don't understand what it takes to make all those things in there if you do know about my work, making armors with custom textures or unique weapons can be quite complex. This would also look like another money grab by OOO which they are already in hot water over.

^Agreed

Yeah, with the new p2p mission and Nicoya and a lot of others leaving I'm kinda on the edge. If I get news saying SPIRALSPY ARMOR CUSTOM THING! I will literally slam my head into my desk, then never, EVER play SK again.

That clears a bit up, I admit

That clears a bit up, I admit I really haven't a clue what goes in to making those outfits. Just as clarification though (if it will make a difference) I never meant for unique and new meshes to be created, only pre existing armors and outfits combined and made available to paying players, outfits such as the one Feron wears and the coloration of Spiral order knights. As far as I know the combinations work, at least in testing movement and attacks, but as you said OOO does not own Spiral Spy so the point is mute.

Though one thing jumps out at me, OOO in hot water for money grabbing? I understand that a lot of the content the've been putting into the game is blatantly unavailable for players who do not wish to, or cannot, pay. However, for sake of argument, wouldn't something like what I'm suggesting (If it were ever to work) help alleviate the pay to play they have been pushing on the players? It would kinda be like one of those C-stores that other free to play games have; If OOO can get something akin to that working, gameplay could improve!
