So there's been a lot of discussion about F2P vs P2P and how the new expansion missions heavily favor P2P people. This is true. What I don't understand is why Three Rings doesn't just follow a similar approach to what they did with the shadow lairs. Yes, they were very expensive for F2P, but at least we got them. Why not have a key or a item that unlocks the expansions that can be traded in the action houses? Or limit them to being purchased with energy. As far as I know, there is no possible way to get CE without it being purchased (as all CE on the market is sold by people who in turn bought it). Therefore buying the content with CE is equivalent to paying for it, yet it also allows F2P people to access the content. P2P get a leg up, but are not on a different level entirely. I also don't see why this isn't allowed with elevator passes.

TL;DR
Make the new content unlockable with CE (also elevator passes should be tradable).

I completely agree. Availability to F2P just at a very expensive CE cost

Yeah

I actually agree with this. P2P should only have a HUGE leg up compared to F2P. You know why? Because then F2P players will get pissed at how slow their progress is, which results in buying ce, which then turns them into a P2P player! I know that's what happened to me.

Jam: Elevator pass trading

Jam: Elevator pass trading would almost certainly lead to some sort of abuse of the system, or at least the hyper inflation of CE prices as huge amounts of crowns flood into the market.

I'll agree,

I agree it should be able to be bought with CE. But definitely not now.
I like the key idea, for a large sum, maybe water down the missions; make the rewards token-based and able to be traded (and keep expansion rewards perma-binding); and release them after some time.
This would make Expansion missions a 'sneak-peak w/ benefits'. Pay ~$5 now and get a full experience, or wait a month (2, 7) and pay in CE.

As an aside:
If CE /was/ bought with money, and a month later I pay in-game crowns and sink that CE, does OOO make any more money than had I bought CE from them? Maybe it's me, but it doesn't sound very profitable to use CE. People would still buy CE for the occasion to be sunk, but would CE sales be equal to CE bought in-game?
