I know, this completely contradicts my rant just now, but OOO has been getting so much hate, so they need some love too. :)

So from the videos I've seen and what I've heard about the Expansion Packs, they look and sound AWESOME. And finally, a new boss!!!! :D Plus, the weapons are nice too, and the new Seerus mask seems to be an anwser to all those gunners who're wishing for new gear (i mean, you get CTR and a damage boost, pretty good deal IMO)

Keep it up OOO! Thanks for all your hard work, the mission system in general is awesome :)

Oh, completely.

I will not disagree for a second that the new content is awesome. The weapons are really cool, the boss is pretty neat, OOO can do some really really cool stuff when they want to.

Does not change the fact that they're cordoning off new content to only people who want to give them money.

Don't support this pack, folks. Just don't.

^^^^^^^^

I'm with this guy. 000 rings you really bring some great ideas to the table. Things that should even be utilized in other games. But why in gods name would you sell power like that. I know there are people who are 5* that have never spent a dime on this game. By making this expansion purchase only you completely block off content to a specific section of players. People who can't pay for the game. 000 should have made it like the shadow lairs. 1800 ce is expensive, and hard to get without paying, but it is still possible. You just cut off a complete section of your playerbase. Not to mention the addition of overpowered weapons only available to the P2P. Or atleast make it available to all players who have put atleast $5 into the game at some point.

Other than that 000 has been doing good work. I rather liked the Antigua line changes. Missions do get kind of boring, but it is a work in progress.

Okay, I'm sick of this. OOO

Okay, I'm sick of this.
OOO worked hard to create these missions, weapons, and boss. So all you people think they SHOULDN'T make any money for their work? Be happy with what you have or give $5 over to OOO for all they have done. Ya, I'm talking to all you "proud" F2P players.

I'm not a free to play...

I'm not a F2P player. I just don't have the resources to spend money on the game right now. I have put at least $75 into the game. I think that players who have spent a certain amount on the game at some point should have some access to the new content.

To that guy above me

There is creating good content.

There is alienating half, possibly more of your playerbase.

These things are not mutually exclusive.

I'm not mad, and leaving because all of this stuff is bad, I'm leaving because it's a PR nightmare for f2p players. This content, if anything is TOO good. People who have payed for these things have a distinct advantage, and that makes someone like me, who is not one of those people, frustrated.

I'm not gone forever, but it's going to take a LOT to get us back. Either they do something about this [unlikely], or they do something that is so amazing that it literally undoes this in my mind [possible, but I'm not betting on it being free!]

OOO appreciation....pfft. The

OOO appreciation....pfft.
The only thing about OOO that there is to appreciate is their wonderful attitude and helpfulness. (Atalanta, Eurydice, Nick, and many others).
I'm not sure what is going on with them (budget, greediness, SEGA influence, etc.) that made them make such a cheap Update, but that's what didn't deserve appreciation at all, regardless of the content. If this continues, the game will fall apart, and Sega will ditch it once it stops generating revenue.
It's all about the money.

Well, you "proud" p2per, how

Well, you "proud" p2per, how about we f2pers leave the game and leave you without crowns to Punch your equipment with? Ohhh, that elevator pass, well, grind away. And enjoy then paying for everything in the game in the future. You need us as much as we need p2pers. We "leech" off each other.

And now, you should chill. This isn't about paying or not, it is about breaking the business system that went on since day one, OOO's trust, and the descend of this game into a p2p trap.

+1 Aumir I am a p2p guy

+1 Aumir

I am a p2p guy myself (have spent around $65 on this game if I recall correctly), but only because I wanted to support this game and the way it was run. I am not questioning my previous acts, simply saying that my actions will be different in the future should things stay the way they are as of today.

I'm not saying that OOO is doing a bad job

Everyone thinks that they could do better though. And why not better? OOO has made a pretty awesome game. I admit that they should rake in some moolah, but still their hyper-inflation business is killing the game. I love the updates, but OOO needs to understand that not a lot of people are ready to dish out their wallets and blow money. They cater to much to the top P2P people, so why not give the other P2P people some love? I remember when this game started: I was pulled in by the graphics, the gameplay. But sadly, SK has degenerated quite a bit into a P2P trap. Please remedy this OOO. Restore this game to it's former glory.

Also

The group that spreads hate towards OOO are mostly F2P players. Why? These people are too cheap to dish out their wallets and buy ce. Should OOO care about these people? HELL NO. Letting them play the basic aspects of the game for free is good enough. Us P2P players should be bolstered with awesome updates and stuff. OOO is doing a good job on completely ignoring F2P players, which is pretty good if you ask me.

yeah

Zephyrgon sums it perfectly get money or get thr f out of the game.
who cares if u are poor or underaged ... u dont deserve to play F2P

@Az-Rel it would help if you

@Az-Rel it would help if you didn't type like a moron.

@Zeph You should understand, some people aren't able to pay OOO. They might have restrictions, or other things to spend money on. Also, this game was under the Free-to-Play list on Steam, which means all F2P players are welcome.

Thank you OOO, best update so

Thank you OOO, best update so far since shadow lairs ;)

Amazingly implemented, the only thing I would change is the new items being only for P2P players. That is quite unbalanced.

But either way, I am extremely happy. If anyone is complaining about this being "greedy," remind them that they probably bought a candy bar or two for 4 bucks. 2 candy bars, new SK content which is awesome. New SK content which is awesome, 2 candy bars.

I am going to go with new SK content.

Don't cry over spilled milk -> don't cry over 2 candy bars.

This is mainly in response to Slayzz "other things to spend money on"

Not the "Restrictions"

i mean..

the new content is amazing!! I LOVE ALL THIS WORK OOO HAS DONE!! and look!! goodness its a DPS type shadow bomb :'D !! it would be nice to have acess to this content, unfortunately i dont :/ . i mean IF steam had giftcards and what not,i would be PERFECTLY fine :P but since my dad doesnt trust steam wallet... i guess its gunma be a while till i say hello to a nice shadow bomb in my arsenal :( oh well. but amazing work OOO..

however, whatever the case OOO, be it the immediate need for funds, or just a change... you now no longer posess the privelige to say that a player has access to all content available wothout paying a cent... poof , gone :|

@Zeph: Looking around, I see more p2p players leaving/ranting than f2p. You are the opposite, ranting about how you deserve "awesome updates and stuff".

@Both Zeph and Az: I was thinking of pumping a little money into OOO, but if it means I'll turn into someone like you... then I'm forever going to stay a f2p player

But, on the other hand...
the new content looks great!

Got it the moment it came

Got it the moment it came out. :D Finally, new boss content. And a new bomb too. XD Honestly, it's all I ever wanted from the game. :D Might even buy a few to gift to my guildies.

As for the items being P2P only, unless they can't be unbound, they'll appear in AH soon enough.

All I can say

After several revisions I can settle on this:

The game is still free to play. I think it could still be labeled as such. Having DLC doesn't mean suddenly only paying customers can log on. I like the idea of purchasable missions, I agree there is a rather lot in these, and I agree the missions should be stripped down, limited and released as 'CE missions' sometime later.

Overall, I still like OOO, and I think they know what their doing. Even if it is unpopular.

"ready to dish out their

"ready to dish out their wallets and blow money."

If you cannot spend 4 bucks, you have a problem.

Quit playing video games and wasting your life. Do something with it.

Seriously.

The only problem anyone should have with this update, is A. The item rewards being only for P2P, or B. They are restricted and have no way to purchase the new content.

Az-Rel's picture

sarcasm? .

well i hoped the "i migth quit" at the end whoud made people notice the obious im trolly this was sarcasm but i failed
i intended to imply that i am poor and underaged so no expansion for me.

and to be fair...

This is still just the first release of p2p-premium content. It doesn't necessarily mean there will no longer be new F2P content.

These are missions, and as far as I'm concerned (maybe since I'm used to it), missions aren't the main game to me. Arcade gates are. If the Arcade stops getting new content, then I'll join the complaints.

Devil's Advocate

I'm loving the update; it's very well done and after doing just one board (waiting on my husband to get off work to do the rest of the mission), I'm as impressed and excited for the rest of it as I was upon seeing the promo picture yesterday. Even the music is amazing.

On the other hand, I do have to say that it would be nice if the mission rewards were able to be unbound and sold, if the player so chooses (am I going to use these bombs? Nope!), or if the expansion could at least be gifted, (although being able to buy it for CE would be nice as well, since even some p2p players may have already spend their cash allotment on CE for the time being and would be unable to buy it at the moment, and many of the f2p players who are active enough to afford to trade crowns for that much CE are the backbone of the community).

I appreciate and encourage OOO making money for their hard work (I would have happily paid $20 for the expansion myself, as I have more disposable income than many of the younger players here), but it's fairly obvious that they are actually alienating part of their userbase. It's easier to convert f2p users into p2p users as they get older or their situations otherwise change than it is to encourage new players to join as p2p to begin with, and that should really be taken into account when trying to balance exclusivity of certain features vs the needs of the community.

why bring shadow lairs into the equation?

I can get a shadow lair key in 2 weeks consisting of me playing 4 days. I dont think 1800 ce is to much but I do cring at the fact of using it for one thing

...

I actually love the update. $4 wasn't that much to offer for this, in the first place. A bunch of other MMOs make players pay for some stuff, but after a while, the stuff offered on the quest will appear on the AH, only leaving the boss experience away from F2P. And... that's about it. I love the boss. I love the items (so worth $4 for 9 items, 3 of which are 5*). I just hope that OOO can reach to F2P with this somehow, not killing their profit either.

The dungeon was amazing and everything I expected it to be. Well worth $4, thank you :).
