Actually, the Electron Vortex is one of the best utility weapons, there's almost no circumstance it's not helpful.

Otherwise, I suggest Polaris and BTB. As a bomber, your biggest threats will probably be turrets and fast enemies. Polaris can interrupt turret attacks, and BTB will be very handy against devilites and greavers that are often hard to use even DBB on.
