Came from the elevator at the last level (boss level). Didn't see any healing spots, so I thought this was another regular level.

Off I went to use 2 of my 3 health pods. Then further in I saw the healing spots. -_-

Went to fight the boss. In the midst of fighting him, his hammer started shooting Blast Network Blasts. Health shaved to 1 bar.

Took one and only health pod. Got hit by another Blast Network Blast.

Had to revive 2 times (oh well. 6 ME anyway).

Verdict: Play this with bombs. Soldier Gremlins were a pain to try to hit.

Same thing for me... mostly

I had the same sort of problems, except I found the health plates.

I also played it tier 1, solo, and I think it would be much better with a group. It was a little tough to kill enemies, and beat on the turret houses, and then have enough health for the boss. But next time in tier 2 I will know what to expect, and how to beat the boss level.

Well, at least they lowered the revive cost!! THANK YOU OOO, for the lowered revive cost!

WooH! That was great!

It was all much better than I expected. I survived well enough, but the boss fight was tough for one person. Will do the higher tiers in a group for sure. Great job on the design and all, SK.

Just beat T3

I just beat it T3 with my girlfriend (she plays a gunner, I am a hybrid bomber/sword). I ended up having to spend 160 to rez at the boss... :/ Probably not worth it at all but we had already come so far! 6.8k crowns were made total.

The T3 version of the bomb and the hammer seem pretty sweet though! I dunno how the T1 hammer is but the T3 one shoots you forward when you double attack, and the charge attack hits twice with huge AOE. The Darkness bomb, I haven't tried it against enemies yet, but it is similar to the status bombs in that it leaves a persistent area on the ground, but does damage instead of statuses it seems.

Now to do it two more times to get her that mask... we didn't really know what we were gonna be up against as far as the boss is concerned, I think we could beat it without rezing if we were properly prepared.

As DLC its pretty cool but $6 is too much IMO...

mortafires + soloing = RAGE

The boss can be a little tricky but by the time i got up to t3 i had it mostly figured out, think though that the gremlins spawning in during the fight should drop atleast some hearts, never saw a single one, otherwise nice fight and a good challenge to solo without deaths. The new bomb made the boss fight a lot easier even without any bomber gear or trinkets, gonna be fun to play with it.

What really annoyed me playing solo though were the mortafires, the way they move about and their tendancy to seemingly always run for a corner to fire made getting some hits in a real pain. What i found worked was to freeze them or set them on fire and they drop their shields every so often, bring a shivermist or ash of agni if you have one and have one player pick up their gear and run away when they drop it so they cant re-arm and they become harmless while every body else beats on them if you're in a group.

Crimson Hammer has been a lot

Crimson Hammer has been a lot of fun for me. Probably my favorite thing about these levels is that they make my Callahan more useful again (since the wolver nerf it's been hard to justify using it a lot as wolvers are too easy and greavers close distance too quickly so devilites and gremlins are pretty much the only targets for it). I do also love that they are incorporating some of the pvp stuff (BN blasts, recon gremlins). I do think the weapon rewards should be bound rather than untradeable so the f2pers can acquire them, at least the mask can be traded (is it just me or does the t1 mask look cooler than the t3?).

This needs a series of protips!

Protip #1 - fire or freeze, not sure about shock, will cause mortars to drop their shield, so either throw it away and just combo spam, or if you have a heavy weapon just keep pushing him away with BRUTE FORCE :U

protip #2 - Boss fight? It's more of boss-and-a-crap-load-of-things-to-get-in-the-way-and-make-you-lose-hp fight, I find it best just to kill what gremlins dont respawn, and spend the rest of the time dodging while charging ready for the pod, as for the boss, gunning him seems to work, and its easy to judge where his "BN Blasts" will come from and go to, and when he knocks himself down just go all out Link on him.

prootip #3 - not many people do this, but fire a shot into the gremlin spawning pod things, it'll come in handy.

@ Psycho-Dani

Protip #1: As far as status vs mortafire gremlins, status easily disarms them. Poison and shock both work. Poison seems to work EVEN if there are no healers around. Just being poisoned makes them periodically drop their gun. Shock is actually less reliable than this (but I bring it anyways for the ghostmanes.)

Protip #2: Bang on here. Kill what won't respawn, and dodge the rest. You can also use gremlins' obnoxious habit of hiding in corners when low on health to your advantage here. Beat the other thwackers up until they hide, then LEAVE THEM THE HECK ALONE (:P) as long as they're alive, more don't spawn.
I had 4 hiding in a corner this evening on tier 3 and one guy in our party blew them all up thinking he was helping clear the area for us.
Gunning works great against Seerus, just avoid his bombs and blasts and pretend it's a wild west game with sentenza. Once he's knocked out, anything goes. :P

Protip #3: Yep, this is important. Most of the levels will take forever if people don't do this... especially on tier 3.

As for other tips:
When you fist encounter the ghostmanes, DON'T step on the hidden buttons until after you've killed all or most of the stalkers that have spawned. If you go into the areas with the keys, more will come and they'll be as invisible as their friends. Much better to fight three waves of six, than 18 all at once (or however many there are.) [Also, if you're keen on finding every single crown, the ghostmanes seem to share the gremlin tendency to hide in corners when they're badly hurt, and they seem to drop good materials. Having something to quickly flush an area like a voltaic tempest, sentenza/AP (use the charge,) autogun, or pulsar will make invisible gremlins who've gone and hid when hurt easier to find.]

Most of the rooms that you fight in are large, use this to your advantage. Either kill off the gremlins out of range of the gun puppies and then get the gun puppies after, or have someone draw the gremlins away so that someone else can focus on the puppies and free up the rest of the areas. One of the things that makes most of the main combat zones in this mission difficult is the large number obstacles around that limit how much, and where you can dodge, despite having lots of space to fight in. Most of the gremlins will happily follow you to where the gun puppies can't hit you, I've watched people in every tier 2 party I've been in for this die repeatedly trying to hit gremlins and dodge gun puppy fire at the same time. It's hard to dodge it all, and shielding WILL break your shield in tier 3 if you rely on it too much.

Hopefully that helps!

I must say these levels

I must say these levels proved to be quite fun and I really liked the boss battle. Even though I ended up doing it solo because nobody was in a party. I survived but the boss fight proved quite tricky moving between gremlins and the battlepods.
