So with this abundance of 2c threads going around, you really have to wonder who can't afford 2c. You guys should support this forum by paying the 2c instead of being a free-to-forum LEECH.

Anyway, since a lot of you don't understand a thing about what you're arguing about, I'm here to intervene.
As per usual.

See, thing about missions that most people don't like is that they are an alternate way to experience content to the Clockworks/Arcade.
Now this isn't inherently a bad thing for most games that require such a thing, however here, these two gameplay systems are competing against each other because they're delivering the same content. Now this is a problem, because when you play content it should be as a stream, where you're not punished for playing one way or another, whereas here there's two streams and one is clearly the better path until it's content just falls off, which I can only imagine will be remedied by an upcoming Expansion Mission.

The Mission Interface gives a new player a full set of 2-star gear, complete clearance for Tier 2 and gets them most of the way to 3-star gear, on 200 energy. That's the starting mist tank of 100 + the Mist Tank you receive for entering Haven. You also get an additional Mist Tank for defeating Snarbolax. This means that you could most likely reach 3-stars gear in a day if you plan it well enough, just using the Missions and Hall of Heroes.

Now this wouldn't be a problem if it weren't for the fact that you don't need to beat all of the missions to get access to the 4-star Hall of Heroes. You can just get to 6-2 then buy the recipes you need on a day to day basis, save up CE doing missions with insane payouts on Mist then craft. You don't need to contribute anything to this game, you contribute even less to the economy and you can do it in about a week if you take advantage of missions and sell unnecessary materials.

And I think this is the real problem here, this game does not offer enough Tier 3 content to warrant such a speedy progression to Tier 3, yet they're making us pay money for the only other Tier 3 boss in the entire game. The only other piece of new Tier 3 content that has been added since the Preview. They originally said T1 was for beginners, T2 was for the normal players and T3 was going to be raid content for the best players, but what we've got is T1 and T2 can be skipped over, T3 is where the money is but they're not going to be releasing any new content for free and Shadow Lairs are the Raid Content but you have to pay $5 for a key.

That's a big problem, honestly. A huge one. Because it goes against the entire flow of their proposed ideal content stream. Not only that but having two game content systems competing against each other it creates a rift in the development process, because now they have to balance the content not just for the players, but so that the two systems can be balanced with each other and aren't in competition. This is obviously less than ideal in terms of developing new content as as well as from a gameplay perspective, since either way you choose to play you will probably miss out on something unless you just buy everything.

And that's my problem with the Expansion Missions (and missions in general). It's just one mission with 3 tiers of monsters and they're charging $6 for it, instead of thinking of the implications of what they're adding into the game. This is why people are leaving.
It's not over $4, it's not over the content being paid only. It's because of this trend of not thinking through content updates that imbalance the game, then charging money for them.

So for the difficulty how

So for the difficulty how bout they take stratum 4, make it stratum 5 difficulty. Take old 5 and make it old 6 and make six be shadow lair hardness. Then cut the shadow keys cost in half and double the enemies in them and 1.5x all their health

Grilled bananas ~<3

I still prefer doing Clockworks though, the place need some love after being dumped in favour of shorter missions.

@Shoebox What is this trend

@Shoebox
What is this trend of imbalancing updates? While it is true that it is much easier to obtain 3* gear that does not mean everyone automatically obtains the skill to perform well in tier 2 or tier 3. You are looking at this situation while basically assuming a new player would have your experience in the game. They do not. They do not know where the best money spots are, or the quickest way to progress through the game, I've seen people with 3* gear die horribly in tier 2 and people in 5* gear die horribly in tier 3. Just because it became easier for players to obtain gear does not automatically mean they are all going to rush to tier 3 and have all 5* gear.
