Nick, will any future content have a new gun (with different mechanics) for gunners?

The title is my question.

I am mainly asking this because gunners seem to have the most options for weapons.

Piercing weapons:
Gunners - 2 options (Magnus and Needle Autogun lines)
Swordsman - 1 option (Toothpicks)
Bombers - 2 options (Dark Briar Barrage, Ionized Salt Bomb <-- though it needs a buff, so maybe 1)

Elemental weapons:
Gunners - 3 options (Polaris, Alchemer, Argent)
Swordsman - 3 options (Divine Avenger, Brandish, and new hammer lines)
Bombers - 1 or 2 options (Electron Vortex based on being used for pure dps, not status. Might include RSS, so I said 1 or 2)

Shadow weapons:
Gunners - 3 options (Biohazard, Alchemer, Antigua lines)
Swordsman - 2 options (Faust, Brandish lines)
Bombers - 2 options (Graviton Vortex, Dark Retribution)

What I see is that we sort of have the most options as far as weapon mechanics go. If I missed something, please tell me. I didn't really include normal weapons, but eh. We have 4 of them, which I bet is most (I'm kinda lazy to look up :P heheh).

So I am concerned, will we ever be seeing a new gun in future content that will have an entirely new mechanic similar to the new hammer / dark retribution where each brought unique and awesome mechanics?

I wouldn't even count

I wouldn't even count graviton or electron vortex as DPS bombs... their standalone DPS is really really poor compared to other options, I would lump them in as crowd control.
