I thought OOO was supposed to take out the higher gear/material exchanges?

But tomorrow on my exchange mission it still wants me to hand over Hunting Blade, which is a 4* sword. This equals to 50+200+400 = 650ce, plus mats, heat and crowns, pretty much totalling 800ce in net worth.

And for this I would get 200 prestige points. Gee, wanna guess am I going to do that?

Or was the earlier update only supposed to take out 5* and Shadow Lair gear? Personally, I think even 3* is already pushing it...

They only took out 'special' or 'unique' things like satic flash bomb and boss rewards.
They never intended to remove 4* regular stuff from the list.

My advice? ignore it. As of now, prestige is still an useless number under your knight.

Figures...

Yeah, probably gonna leave the fame game to others. Feels like OOO is trying to force richer people to compete with each other for these prestige points. Then again, what else would they do with their fortunes?

These last updates really are directed at the "paying" customers. And by that I mean those who periodically keep buying energy packs, etc. But all things considered, if the paying customers wouldn't find any extra motivation to keep paying for stuff, the price of energy would get higher still.

That happens to be a very recent image that I just took.. ><;

There's really no point in making a fuss over it, Prestige points don't do anything except give you E-Fame on Inspect. rofls

But yeah, it *is* kind of stupid, especially if Prestige is ever useful at any point.

I think if they adjust the missions anymore, they should remove the PvP items from the list as well. (Maybe?)
By tomorrow (or is the quest available today?) I have to craft a Blight Needle. I mean, what about those people who don't PvP at all? Or those people who think PvP items are utter junk?

I don't care for the arms appropriation quests, but I think having to craft PvP items is silly.

@Rouge-Rouge
You can buy PvP item recipes off the auction house I believe. Or else just sit through some LD games. Honestly there are also people who don't do any PvE, does that mean OOO shouldn't implement anything related to that either?

@Severage
I don't see your point in how it is stupid if Prestige points are ever useful. If prestige was easy to obtain what would be the point of having it at all? Don't you find it unfair that some guy who barely plays would be able to earn the same amount of prestige points as someone who regularly pays OOO money and plays everyday? If prestige points are ever useful, there is even more reason to keep this system.

@Nodocchi:

Any recipes you get from Krogmo Coins are bound upon picking them up. And "sitting through some LD games" would be dumb. For a Blight Needle, you'd have to sit through 150 of them.

And I don't know anyone who doesn't do PvE.

It's stupid because there ARE easy ones, then there are craft 4* item ones. Prestige points ARE easy to obtain, but if you get unlucky in the Arms Appropriation missions, you miss out on them. They should at least be consistent.

I don't do PvE and I don't

I don't do PvE and I don't think there should be materials missions at all because I have no way of obtaining those materials.

Yes, some are easy. Some are meant for the poorer players to complete. But not all of them will be easy, and that is the distinction that will separate players who have invested a lot into this game from those who haven't. Otherwise what is the point of the prestige system if anyone can easily reach the highest levels?

@Nodocchi:

Buy them off the AH. They're cheap.

There is no point in the Prestige system. All it does is serve to inflate your E-go (lol pun).

Anyway, you get 3,000 Prestige points for free, I'm not sure why anyone in their right mind will pay 120,000 Cr for another 200; especially when you can get the same 200 tomorrow for a perfect snowball and some blue shards.

That's the thing though isn't it? Some will pay and extra 120,000 CR for that extra 200. Why say it is dumb? Don't you think they'd deserve whatever bonus they get if Prestige does become useful at some point? I mean they did shell out a huge amount of money for it.

@Nodocchi:

It's dumb for several reasons....

1: You can wait till tomorrow, save 120,000 CR, and get the same Prestige.

2: Who knows if and when it will ever become useful? Why pay 120,000 CR on pure conjecture?

I highly doubt there's going to be a "Whoever completed all Missions, Expansion Missions, and Prestige Missions up to this point will get free st00f for their efforts!" event if they ever become useful.

Anyway it's your choice if you want to blow 120K CR on something frivolous like that.

well when the lower level

well when the lower level item ones roll around people might have a use for all those extra crafts that either flood the exchange or get tossed/sold for little gain.

IMO they could have done something like add rare craft recipe's to complete the prestige missions XD.

@Severage Your reasons

@Severage
Your reasons suggest that the people who complete those prestige missions are dumb, not the prestige missions themselves.

So why get all defensive about it? Did you complete one or something?

I simply find it highly illogical to even ponder completing one of them.

"But yeah, it *is* kind of stupid, especially if Prestige is ever useful at any point."

How would it be illogical if the players get something out of it?

@Nodocchi:

Oi, how long are you going to argue here?

It'd be illogical to do it NOW because the rest of the missions are still to be released; fighting over 200 Prestige when as soon as more missions come out you get another 3,000 Prestige for free just doesn't make sense. There's no point in spending that amount of CR.

If Prestige IS ever useful, it makes it too difficult for anyone to do, nobody in their right mind will trade in a 4* piece for 200 Prestige. It's stupid, because randomly you just won't get 200 Prestige one day, while the next day the 200 Prestige missions is uber easy. It's stupid, because it's not consistent, and if you need a 4* item one day and a 2* mat the next day for the same Prestige, you're not going to do it.

Based on the fact that we have thousands of Prestige now, 200 Prestige won't do anything, even if it is ever useful. So in fact, you're not really getting anything out of it.

EDIT: Why quote what I said several posts ago? You're just drawing this out...
