People who are steam players and got gifted the dlc, do they get "benefits"?

I have a steam account, and a fellow player gifted me the expansion. However, playing on one of my three knights on my account still draws from the same crystal energy. Is that supposed to happen?

Different knights on SAME ACCOUNT always share energy. You need DIFFERENT accounts.

i have a second account

both accounts use the same mist energy, a friend gift me the dcl but my non-steam account keeps using the mist from the primary account
maybe is a error
