Ok, so after obtaining my precious dark retribution bomb, I decided to heat it up at RJP, seeing how it would fare against the slimes.
The normal jelly cubes were slain by the mighty bomb, but there were trolls who persisted: the mini jellies. They were only hit one time; at the bomb's detonation. After that, it seems as if the repeated hits of the bomb did nothing at all to them; I would have to charge up a new bomb.

So here is my question to my fellow knights: what is the meaning of this? Is it a glitch? Or was this on purpose? Please, for the love of bob, EXPLAIN!!

Not sure if it's a bug or if it's intentional. It does the same thing to the battlepods while fighting the boss in Crimson Hammer: hits once and doesn't hit again.

I don't know if this is your problem, but the periodic hits on that bomb don't cover the entire blast radius; it's only the actual orbs circling around that can hit enemies. This means there's an "eye" in the center of the bomb where no damage is done (except for the initial blast).

There's also a "sweet spot" for normal size-enemeis, where they're in range of both the inner and outer rotating orbs, and thus get double-hit. But mini jellies are tiny; maybe they can fit between the orbs if they're positioned just right?

Or maybe it's just bugged; I haven't tried it.

Mini jellies are just trolls it seems, they're also able to stop the line of explosions from a brandish series charge attack from spreading.

Yep. I'm thinkin the little guys are bugged... and when they get fixed, this bomb will then truly be OP for ice queen since it's already insanely OP for normal RJP.

The royal minis are bugged

Dark Retribution's orb paths don't actually hit them, and they're weak to elemental as well as shadow.
