Just curious if anybody knows what the maximum possible prestige amount is as of the current date.

Also, I'm curious to see people who think they may have that number, or people who think they have very high numbers.

(The route to max prestige appears to be have started a new character the day missions came out, and immediately take that character to T3 the same day as the first prestige mission for maximum benefit)

I'll post my number if anybody tops mine :)

There is no max prestige number, none that it is possible to have reached as of this moment.

What? 9000! There's no way that can be right!

You will get a special com unit accessory, but it comes in a special Meme Lockbox that costs 9001 Prestige to buy and you also need to buy the key that is 9001 CE.

My guess is that the maximum

My guess is that the maximum amount of prestige is based on the Java programming language. If so, then the max amount of prestige will either be 2,147,483,647 if they are using an int, or 9,223,372,036,854,775,807 if they are using a long int. If they were worried about someone getting that much prestige, then they could do some math to make the digit unsigned, and that would double the amount of values the variable could hold.

It makes me wonder, could you ever get that much prestige? To find out, let's do some math. Lets say they are using java int, without modifying its value (no math to make it unsigned.) That would mean that the maximum amount of prestige that you could get is 2,147,483,647. Lets say that every mission takes 30 minutes to complete and grants you 200 prestige. Note, not all missions give you this amount of prestige, and some missions take less than half an hour to complete. But, after playing the mission system for a while, I think this is a good estimate of the amount of prestige you get while playing though the missions in game.

With this estimate, If you were to do missions continuously, it would take you about 5,368,709 hours to acquire 2,147,483,647 prestige. That is about 223,696 days or about 628 years of mission grinding to reach the maximum amount of prestige possible. I am doing some rounding, but I'm rounding down. It will actually take a little longer than that. So, if they are using a java type int to store the prestige value, and assuming that the mission payouts does not change radically at higher ranks, then it's highly unlikely you will earn the maximum amount of prestige possible in your lifetime.

I meant the current maximum

I meant the current maximum 'possible' prestige - ie. if one had done all prestige missions at T3, the expansion missions, and rank missions.

Since there is a limit to the number of missions one is able to have completed to date, there is a limit to the total possible prestige, to date.

That's why I mentioned the current date, and the hypothetical situation - it doesn't really make sense otherwise.

Anywho, I'm sitting at 3635, but haven't done today's prestige yet.

Thanks for the interesting data though... a bit above and beyond :)

It's a little weird how

It's a little weird how prestige works, because if you've gone up in tier (or simply rank , I'm not sure), then you can redo the missions of the day for that tier. In this case, the max has to be whatever run was the most profitable prestige set done so far, and multiply that by however many possible times. So even if somebody started at the same time and worked their way up through the missions as anybody else, they may have different prestige in the end because of this. It bugs me a bit, but I really don't care much for max prestige, I just do the missions I like or can afford now.

Ah, I see. As far as I know, rank and expansion missions can be repeated. I don't know if you get prestige for doing them a second time or not. But, if you do, then the maximum amount of prestige possible would be potentially infinite. (Of course, it would be limited by time.) If not, then I'm not sure. You would have to do some calculations to find out.
