This is a bit of a wild idea and It'll probably never get accepted, but what if you could have an animal companion? It could fight alongside you and if it lost too much health it could be out for awhile to recharge health. It could work in monster families like you could get a wolver. now there could be a synthesis process and it would act like alchemy. there would be a star rating for pets and energy and crown costs would be the same for a weapon to evolve it. Now it could mimic some equipment in the sense like this:

2* wolver >>> 3* dusker >>> 4* ashtail >>> choice of: (1.) a 5* skolver (2.) a 5* snarbolax cub (3.) a 5* vog cub

this could work with other families like jelly

0* jelly >>> 1* spiked jelly >>> 2* brute jelly >>> 3* spiked brute jelly >>> rock jelly >>> choice of: (1.) 5* Royal jelly (2.) 5* Ice queen

the reason I streched out the jelly line is because you could have a jelly cube as your first monster.
There should also be special variants in the way that when you get a stat variant you also get an appearance variant. Like a wolver could be in an alpha form and a jelly could have an impostocube costume!

These monsters would not count as weapon but have their own slot even though you could only have one monster at a time. To get the first form of a monster you could buy a ticket from a monster trainer in haven to get that first form. to get a ticket you have to pay a fair amount of crowns and some materials. To evolve your monsters further Basil can sell synthesis instructions. these will work like recipes in the fact you will have to pay energy and crowns and even materials. You are able to trade monsters and a monster is represented by a card you will keep in your inventory. You can also trade instructions over the Auction house to fasten the process. Also rarely you should be able to get the instructions for a boss monster by beating itself.

Gremlins and undead are more sentient so they would not able to get but anything else is fair game. Monsters will attack on their own and have fairly good AI. Boss monsters will not be their full size otherwise that would be chaos. vanaduke is not an available monster because of his strong sentience like the rest of the undead family. Now for a monster like a gun puppy that can't move they would have another form. I was thinking they would actually have a dog body but obviously in robot form. for the roarmulus twins it would be a two-headed dog.

That is all. thanks for listening! Lets hope this happens!

Community and Devs

Both the community and devs have veto'd pets of any form... I suppose I need to bump my list so people can see it.

Doesn't seem to work

It's fine I didn't expect really to see this. I do regret spending 22 minutes typing this though.

I applaud you for actually

I applaud you for actually thinking it through before posting. It seems pretty well thought out, especially compared to those 3 sentence ideas that are copy pasted all over this forum. But yes, this idea has been shot down plenty of times. Use the search bar and you'll find quite a few.

if i may ask, why does no one

if i may ask, why does no one want pets? i think it would be cool to have a cute little wolver by my side. I understand if the devs dont want it because it would take lots of coding, but why do the players not want it?

Lots of players DO want pets,

Lots of players DO want pets, just its such a huge gameplay mechanics change. Just like dual wielding, transports, and various other things. Just use your searchbar to find "pets" and see if you can find some threads with good counter-arguments on them.

@Serell:

If I were to put in my quarter in the imaginary argument Arcade game,

1: Companion AI is horribad. Pets that run off attacking Grimalkins or attempt to attack Gremlin Bombers through walls and get hit by the bombs (through the walls) wouldn't be very cool.

2: People argue that if everyone had a pet, it could increase the lag on low-end PCs. This, of course, depends on the kind of pets that are released. But the Mecha Knights shock themselves, and this causes many particles to have to load which can lag up lower-end PCs. Not to mention, people could have pets, companion Mecha Knights, and companion Knights from a mission all at once.

3: I also know a few people who are concerned that, like many games, the niche of 'Pets' would be so irresistible for many players, that OOO would price it too high. In several MMOs, having pets are expensive "Cash-Shop" items, simply because it's a popular niche.

What if...

What if they acted as some sort of weapon? You could switch to that weapon (for now let's just say it's a staff) and click where you want it to attack. You couldn't move during this process, but it's just an idea.

NO TO PETS, that was decided after long time of debates and forum topics/posts. No to pets of any kind.

Why you keep beating a dead horse?

I can read.

I already found that out on the first comment so no need to be mean about it.
