Yeah, in the dialogue just before fighting Seerus he seems to think the knights are assassins sent by Herex.
Nowhere is it actually mentioned who Herex is, but there's a good possibility he's another member of the Crimson Order.

I still hold that Herex is really Vise, he just ran off and hid due to disagreement with Tinkinzar and the rest of the Crimson Order. It's entirely possible Vise told Feron Seerus' location and therefore betrayed him in the past and now.
But infighting in the Order would be interesting as well...

I have a hard time believing
I have a hard time believing Herex will actually be a boss. Maeko has an interesting theory, though, considering Vise mentions that his and Seerus's relationship go pretty far back.
The impression I got when Seerus mentioned Herex was that Herex was some kind of backstabber he was recently aware of and their intentions of revealing him (possibly an ex-member of the Cimson Order?).
Aside from that, I would love to see The Nine throughout the game eventually, though hopefully not in eight more separate encounters, lol

In the speech bubble before you enter his arena, Seerus states something to the tune of
"Who sent you? Was it Herex? Well it doesn't matter I'll take care of you myself"
This is right after you talk to the wounded Feron and before the gate with heart pads behind it.

On another note I think it's worth noting that Seerus does survive Crimson Hammer, so one would assume that now the Crimson Order having suffered a direct blow will likely retaliate, I suspect a fair bit of future story-related content to focus on them.

And i probably think that Herex will not be the next boss (we do not need a new gremlin boss right after the release of another) so i would agree Maeko on Vise being Herex.
*(Kel means Elder Scrolls in Dragon Language)
I'd be more inclined to share my knowledge and opinions on the subject if you would care to explain who the hell Herex is.
