yeah im just wondering why isn't there our own property? that would be awesome btw... and we can edit it.(i hate energy use with crowns)
Spiral Knights own property
Along this note, it would be nice if we could do something (anything!) to personalize guild halls.
What you wanna be? The Duke of Aurora Isles?
I just want to see the inside of my escape pod and customize it!
I think he wants a persistent bedroom with furniture and such. OOO could implement this, charge real money/CE for different exclusive types of furniture.
First, wrong forum section.
Secondly, i smell dorms/houses suggestion here.
No to houses, no to dorms.
@Asukalanforum
Though, it won't have any effect on gameplay.
A dorm would make it sort of fun if you could invite others into it, and who knows, maybe rp and stuff. I know in my comic the 4-person squads have their own little houses to play poker and flip tables.
I'd like to see something like a house c:
Why are you complaining about houses/dorms/customizable public spaces showing up in SK...
WHEN THEY ARE ALREADY HERE? *dramatic music*
... Well, what did you think the Ready Rooms were going to turn into?
Hey, they made homes in Puzzle Puzzle, so I'm sure it was once a considered idea for SK.
I'd like to invite people to my ready room c:
I'd just like back there without logging off first.
It was already suggested many times. Adding rooms would make havens/arcades/baazar even more abandoned. Also it can make gameplay worse, every player room would require server resources. Also we cant be sure if those things would be crown sink (good) or will be CE sink (bad).
Also there were a lot of replies against houses/dorms/huts, we are knights, we fight, we kill we are not lil girls playing in da house, decorating walls with pictrues and playing in sandbox.
Ever heard of club penguin? They have houses.
So only little girls have houses to play in? I thought both genders enjoyed the club-house/tree-house and secret base sort of thing. I wouldn't mind something that did appeal to the inner child but residencies aren't exactly one of those.
It's evident that knights do sleep, rest, breathe, and do everything a living person would do. Why would they not have shelter and a break from the endless toil of trying to escape the planet?
They do can sleep, rest, breathe and possibly do everything a living person would do. But do they need it? Is it nessesary to make them function in proper way? Or maybe its just to make them more human-like. Maybe they are able to sleep becouse someone wanted to make them be able to sleep but yet its not nessesary for them. Do they really need rest? Or the need of rest is part of their program and if they deny to rest will they still work in right way? Breathing, they do need some kind of special gases to mainant proper functionality (item descriptions).
Maybe they -want- to do it? It's really nice to take a break. They are knights, not slaves, and even knights can prefer their time to just rest, relax and hang out.
I don't see why we couldn't have something like this. We already have guild halls, which remain mostly unused due to the fact that, well, they aren't really interesting. If guildmates want to coordinate to do something, they can just do it through guild chat. Customizable guild halls would be really nice. And well, even knights could use some rest from time to time, and it would be yet another opportunity for OOO to make a few bucks here and there in aesthetic items that would support future free expansions for everyone. :D So yes, we could have both customizable guild halls (Open to everyone in the guild) and personal quarters (Invite/open to friends).
I understand the concern with adding features that may cause havens to become even more deserted then they are currently. (As a side note the mission system and the ready rooms probably didn't help with this.) I also understand why many knights would want a personal space so they can interact with their friends privately. Perhaps instead this could be handled via a chat function. The zone channel is rarely used these days, and it's rarely if ever used for what it's intended to be used for. Why not replace it with individual chat rooms that you can invite friends to? This would help to bridge the gap for friends in different guilds, and allow for more privacy. That's what you were trying to achieve with this "house" feature, was it not?
Individual chatrooms, or customizable chatrooms, you can make a tab to specific person/group of persons to talk with them. The tabbed chat system would solve that, you can find many suggestions about chat system upgrade on forum
just search for tabbed chat or improved chat or easy to implement and look for watermelon soda thread.
Know what I'd like to see? Little mementos added to the ready room. Kill the RJ? Maybe have a crown laying around. Vanaduke? Maybe his mace in miniature propped up against a crate.
Would add a bit of flavor.
I'm not sure what you're trying to say here, really ... are you suggesting that our knights should have homes or something?
