Yeah I know these are the spiral knight forums and not the steam forums but long story short though I am a steam user I don't have the privilage to use the steam forums, HOWEVER this is about me getting my money to the spiral company, aka OOO and sega so I think it is reasonable to post here.
So side stepping why I cannot post on steam forums what I want to know is how to use a visa gift card to fill my wallet so that I may purchase the extension pass and while I am at it the elevator pass and maybe a small handful of ce.
A different long story short I am poor as in legitimately under the poverty line a good ways but have come to the conclusion that over all, the money I would be giving to an online game is well worth it when compared to other forms of purchased entertainment, but that being said I need to know with 99+% certainty that this can work and how to work it before I lock 20 of my bucks into a card, especially considering activation fees and what not.
Now as far as I can gather I first go to my account click on my name then go to "+add funds to steam wallet" and then click the amount I want to deposit and go under visa card.
So after that do I just go and fill in the blanks? I ask because last I remember purchasing a gift card none of that was asked so none of that information would be on a card of that nature, have they changed that? Do you now have to give that information to purchase a visa GIFT card? If they do nowadays I guess that will be that and question answered but I also heard something about having to use surrogate sites as yet another go-through, greendot.com was mentioned, would I have to use such a site to transfer to steam and then to spiral? because if that's so and I imaging there will be service fees by the time OOO gets it there might not be much left........ all my money will have gone to go-betweens for doing absolutely nothing.....
so please, can someone tell me how to do this right?
ps. all this could be avoided if there was a simple straight forward spiral knights gift card at walmarts or something, hint hint
Hey i have had 3 Visa Gift cards in Australia and one problem i have had with 2 is they did not Activate.
Their was a Special Site to go to for Checking Balance.
I got my Visas with Australian Post.
Which i live in australia which yours Maybe Diffrent.
See if it has a Link or a Number you can Ring to get Tecnical Support.
Also if it was Packaged wrong someone else could have your Money!
I have had 2x $50
1x $100
Also see if your Currency is less than USD.
USD on Steam will be Less than The Australian Dollar.
But if USD is Higher than the Dollar you Possese than you gonna be like 30 Bucks USD for your 50 Bucks!
It could be like any of thouse in your Situation!
