Bring a distance weapon of some kind to the last level. The mission assumes you have one equipped. If you do not bring one then prepare to die a couple of times to complete the mission.

A really powerful sword may work. Still, pack a distance weapon to save yourself a lot of headache.

How long of a distance?

How long of a distance? Probably not necessary, but if there's guns that aren't far enough, we should know.

Powerful as in, damage? Or powerful like da ranged charge?

Or am I missing a point and you are refering to ranged kiting of mobs?

The two battlepods that

The two battlepods that constantly poison you and spray goo everywhere. I tried to melee that fight but eventually just bust out my polaris.

@Khamsin - Pretty much

@Khamsin - Pretty much this.

@Demonicsothe - You just need to cover at least a few squares. Any gun will do. Distance swords like the Avenger or Faust will work. When I say powerful I mean a sword that can unload a lot of damage in a short amount of time (like the Calibur line.) Bombs may work if you are good enough at timing when they explode. But before the final level you should either have something that can do a lot of damage in a short time or you should have a distance weapon.

@Batabii True, it is common

@Batabii True, it is common sense. But everywhere else in game they have ways that those without distance weapons can still make it though. This usually involves putting regenerating pots at strategic locations. Here they don't have that.

I got through it fine. All I did was stay near the battlepod. Before it starts spewing the poison I use my shield. The poison landed in front of me because I was blocking it, and I moved to the side where the poison lands further and start attacking from there.

Aside from the annoying gremlins, it wasn't any more difficult than the previous battlepod battles.

Battlepods were irritating,

Battlepods were irritating, for sure. But i beat it with bombs and a cold iron carver. Guns are for wimps.

Agh! Yep, I'm a doofus. I didn't think to block the slime. That's why I died so easily there.

really?

i DA both the battle pods to death

even if they spray poison everywhere, just stand right next to them and you can avoid it most of the time. I dont see the point of gunning when I can hack n slash them faster

Battlepods are so weak in solo. I just didnt care about being poisoned or the other enemies chasing me

Did that mission today

Did that mission today (battled the Battlepods with only sword without any deaths) and I seriously didn't feel the need to whip out my gun. Poison isn't something like fire or shock so it isn't that devastating.
