You know the Green ward and the Proto Crest?

They have this unique metallic green color not seen anywhere else. And I think it's a realllly delicious looking colorscheme that there needs to be more of.

The proto equipment has the green but isn't textured to look shiny though.

Anyway, I want to see more armor/accessories using this metallic green. Particularly hoping to see variants of the three starting Proto Armor available in this metallic green

And oh yeah, same goes for the "Scarlet" colorscheme (Glowy Red+Gold a la nearly Every Fire-themed weapon and the Scarlet Shield). THAT's something I want to see used on armor.

Oh yeah, call me a dirty commie socialist for saying this... but make them available to F2Pers also. Like make them random drops from chests or something.

Maybe a poison levi with that

Maybe a poison levi with that colour scheme? Or are you just talking about armors? How bout since we have changing personal colours we can change item colours for a massive price? Thinking a pure black skelly suit

Why not give the green ward

Why not give the green ward an alchemy line? I mean, most people who buy the starter pack already have better equipment, so its kinda useless. But if it had an alcemy line, we can have a good 5 star shield with that cool green metal look.

@Moonarr: I said armors bro.

@Moonarr: I said armors bro. Though shiny green weapons doesn't sound like a bad idea

@Serell: The problem with giving the Green Ward an alchemy line is the fact that it's... well, only the people who buy the pack can get the shield and thus build the shield line... I'm sure that's going to have some sort of weird effect on the economy

What would be so bad about

What would be so bad about giving it an alchemy line? I mean, it can be traded to other people unlike the DLC items, right? So everyone can obtain them.

Uh...

No, no it can't.

The mask of Seerus doesn't count, it's a Craftable, but only craftable by players with the DLC. THAT can be traded, but the Green Ward is received as a pre-bound, pre-made equipment piece.

Rocket hammers and stuff are obtained via the misions and as far as I've heard, and cannot be unbound.

so I tried recoloring some of

so I tried recoloring some of the game items in Spiral-Spy to look like the Proto Crest and Green Ward...

The only thing I have been able to do it with successfully (color AND shine) so far is the Leviathan blade. I can't seem to get the models for the starter armors (particularly their helmets) to look shiny... Every time I try, untextured bits of the model ALSO turn shiny, which means the horns that were otherwise invisible on the Tailed Helm now show up as shiny ghost horns... speaking of those... is there something you're not telling us about the Tailed helm, OOO?

@Mejezfeld : That green

@Mejezfeld : That green leviathan is looking pretty boss.

@Physcodestroyer : Sorry, didn't know for sure, just assumed. though they could just make the green ward tradable and then give it an alcemy line.
I mean, no one just makes an account and buys a starter pack the first day they play. No, they want to make sure they like the game before they spend $20. But by the time they find out they like the game, they will already have better equipment than the green ward. I just feel it would be nice to give it an alcemy line, it will only give people more incentive to buy the starter pack, giving OOO more money, and the people still have to spend CE to make it.

@Serell If I could do it I'd

@Serell

If I could do it I'd also add an aquamarine colored glow on that there stripe the Leviathan has to make it complete.

Don't know if you know or not, but the Tailed Helm/Spiral Cullet shares the exact model with Emberbreak line, The Pith helm/Spiral Brigandine as the Frostbreak/Cobalt, and that other thingamajig/Spiral Sallet as the same model as Shockbreak and to some extent, the vitasuit deluxe. (or do I have them in the wrong order)

@Hexzyle I do indeed know

@Hexzyle

I do indeed know about the model-sharing of the Starter/Proto sets with the Break, Cobalt and Vitasuit sets... It goes like (used nicknames for the starter armors here)...

Bellbottoms --> Blaze/Ember/Fire Breaker Armor;
Rivet/Megaman--> Circuit/Volt/Surge Breaker Armor; Vitasuit Armors;
Scarf--> Frost/Ice/Blizz Breaker Armor; Cobalt Armors;

I guess I should try it with those instead

But there's one other thing too.

Namely... Just try making model_proto.dat shiny on the Tailed Helm, and see what happens.

green ward line

seeing as the green ward looks exactly the same as the defender the upgrades should follow the same scheme as the defender, except with a different animal(like a lion for example.)

@Lordofnecromancers

Who cares, he has a good point! Making the green ward as a recoloured defender would mean that it would have a practical use while looking cool and still managing to not make the F2P community get mad.

The only problem I see is what are we to do with the poison resist?
