okay so when someone is using the zone talk, and there advertising something to sell, trade or buy, you simply click on their name and 3 actions are shown; tell, trade, and join.
i thought this up cuz for me its hard to keep up with sellers. and some dudes have Freakin LONG names !!!! "PM me!" (yea rite! not with tht name!)

If you're really interested

If you're really interested on buying whatever they're selling, you should be able to type their name at least once...
btw, in case you don't already know it, you can press R on your keyboard to reply to whoever PM'd you last.

@Blue-Phaze

To be fair, typing something like /tell Epic-Knight-7568763987374847 or whatever loads of times can get old quick. Not wanting to go through all that every single time doesn't demonstrate an unwillingness to purchase the goods/services. It demonstrates awkwardness in the current system.

I don't see anything wrong with adding click to interact functionality to the chat window logs. It would parallel the functionality that lets us click on knights or entries in our friend/guild list for the same thing. Several times I've thought that some kind of function like this existed when I've wanted to send a tell to someone and they had a rather long name.

Just pointing out

Once you have messaged someone, the game stores the name and you can use the up and down arrow keys in the chat box to browse through the names you have recently messaged.

We need a chat overhaul in general. This is one of the many things that can be done to help, along with tabs.

Yep. Just look at the

Yep. Just look at the RuneScape chat system. The whole coding of the game is stacked terribly, they've just piled update upon update onto that game, it's written in java and lags worse than this game and doesn't even look as good, but at least their chat system has something that we could all benefit from. The RuneScape chat system is flawless. I've never pm'd the wrong person the wrong message, or said guildchat in public etc, etc.
