Should I spend energy to unlock hammer because I don't know if it is worth it? If it is worth it wat do u get from it, a item, or lots of cr etc.
Operation crimson hammer worth it?
The wiki answers all questions.
Heh, QUESTions. :D
the weapons are crap, they are out side of the arg about exclusive op weapons for p2p
the bomb was fine but it was nerfed and now its awfull and the hammer is a very situational weapon, is a mix between a spur and a troika, but those swords have problems so you get the idea. still some players belive the hammer is good in lockdown, because that players suck against strikers anyway.
If you are interested in buy a alternative to "the every day vana run", you gonna find it disapointing because it give half of the reward and it take more time and effort
The bomb is still pretty usable. Sure, the damage was nerfed, but the the damage was never incredible in the first place without 4 people spamming it. Its equally as effective with 4 people slamming now as it was then, seen as it destroys Royal Jelly in the exact same amount of time, pretty much.
CH is a change of pace and a lot of fun. That alone makes it worth it, IMO.
But as for the gear, saying the hammer is a mix of Spur and Troika totally ignores damage type, which is, um, only the most important thing about weapons. (Slight exaggeration.) The Hammer is an alternative to the current ele swords. It's debatable whether it's quite as good, but it's far from a joke weapon.
And come on, the helm? Only the best gunner helm for FSC, no big. :P (Again, slight exaggeration. Hardcore players, and players with CE to spare, may validly disagree.)
I think it's a great expansion, entertainment-wise. If you're looking at the prizes as being "worth the money," that's a pretty subjective sort of affair. Really looking forward to managing that Perfect Seerus Mask, though.
I haven't been properly equipped for T2 and T3 (currently making myself some good Shadow weapons and Elemental armor), but I've run through T1 at least once a day since it was released, sometimes two and three times. I just think it's fun. And the "Aftermath" they added at the end not only has the icing on the cake, but the sprinkles, too. Just ask Isis up there; he was there when I found them (the sprinkles, that is). XD
with the mad suit my bomb was doing 125 damage and five hits, still it wasn´t so OP the blind spot and the low area for a 5* bomb make it some times problematic if i wasn´t spamming it, the monsters just stay in the center reciving no damage or they go away like nothing, hit them with a particular zone of the radius wasnt every time so easy. yeah slimes was easy but the other creature weak to shadow can dodge it with no problems many time I need to pot more than five bombs to kill the new rocket gremlins because the orbs only go in one direction (weird but true) and they tend to stay facing the orbs with the shield in the front
now the bomb with the mad suit make 70 damage and it is slower.... in the past the bomb was making five hits but now with luck it do three
some dumb people claim it was OP against the jelly king but they forget the jk is weak to shadow and it take the same time (or less) kill it with a elemental sword...
also low area and the blind spot make it balanced because a mist bomb is bigger in comparation and apply the status, the fire bomb make more than 50 damage per second and if the creature leave the area the status keep affecting it, but the actual dark bomb... make the damage each 2 seconds
the main problem isn´t the damage the problem is the speed of the orbs
the bomb was fine against normal creatures and it was too success against big creatures, for his desing
Edit:
@Derpules lets tal about dmage tipe...
other elemental swords do a mix with elemental and normal damage i´m gonna put the example of the DA in stratum 6 because the hammer is a heavy sword
-Versus Beasts and Gremlins
hit 1 152 - 153
hit 2 208 - 225
charge 327 - 362
projectile 91 - 90
-Versus Slimes and Fiend
hit 1 241 - 234
hit 2 338 - 363
charge 545 - 600
projectile 119 - 131
-Versus Constructs and Undead
hit 1 311 - 328
hit 2 404 - 445
charge 611 - 682
projectile 168 - 190
-----now the damage table from the hammer with only elemental damage
-Versus Beasts and Gremlins
hit 1 49-55 <------------------------------------------------
hit 2 36-41
hit 3 58-66
charge 81-92
-Versus Slimes and Fiend
hit 1 241-258
hit 2 150-153
hit 3 297-321
charge 427-468
-Versus Constructs and Undead
hit 1 307-340
hit 2 215-240
hit 3 363-403
charge 493-550
as you can see a sword with only one type of damage make less damage to the family with that resistance, and the DA makes simmilar damage to the family weak to elemental and it has less elemental damage
but the main problem with the sword is the spur effect pushing the user away making it run to a hazard, with lag this sword sucks hard, is a player killer in pve and is too slow for a sword with a movement boost, the doble troika charge makes nothing
today i´m mad so maybe im not being fair with the weps, I went today to the CH and the bomb was disappointing and later in a t3 mission the hammer put me to play like a kamikase in dark city
and I don't wanna change the topic so i'm not gonna talk of the weapons again here, yes the DLC is fun and the first impresion is great but for future use is a different issue
it's debatable whether the Hammer is actually better, or worse, or on par, or only situationally better. My point was simply that it is strong and perfectly usable, i.e. not a worthless reward by any stretch. It may well be worse than all the alternatives (because the alternatives are awesome); I'm not interested in debating that here.
P.S. I am aware of those points re: mixed normal/special damage, and that only reinforces my point about damage type being all-important. Read my comment in context:the point of yours that I was responding to compared the Hammer to Troikas and Spurs.
if you haven't bought it, dont do it unless you want the helm.
the sword does less damage then da, the bomb is totally trash now unless you want to only play tier 2.
enjoy
Good luck.
Is their a specific lv of gear u have to use cause I'm only half way done with my 3 * set
@derpules
actually a da is cheaper, 1200ce + 7500cr crafting cost, 35000cr for recipes @ market value of 6600 per 100ce = 644ce so total of 1844ce to make a DA...
also not to mention, you get about 6.5k cr on T3 all other teirs are much less, you can run FSC and get 8k cr for the same amount of energy and half the time.
with three levels of reward. If you have 3* gear, you can do the T2 version, and get the 3* rewards. You can come back and do the T3 version when you're ready.
That's why I was comparing CH to the cost of *buying* a DA. Getting the hammer is almost instant.
But you're right; the analogy was a bad one.
You can't spend energy to unlock it. You have to buy it with money.
If you're on Steam, you can trade CE to another player, who will buy it and trade it to you . . . somehow.
I'd say the hammer's a bit worse than DA/Brandishes due to it being less safe to use, but it's not terrible. It can wreck a lot of elemental-weak enemies in one combo depending on party size and damage bonus. I've always been too stingy to bother making a Brandish, so the hammer is a nice replacement for my Divine Avenger in general clockworks runs, but DA and spammed Brandish charges are still king of swing in FSC.
I hear it pays off rather well in relation to the energy you spend going there. Plus, you can do it as many time as you like.
So yeah, I guess you can get a lot of etc.
