Bit hard for one person to blitz and shiver at the same time, I would think.

Also not personally a fan of freeze swords due to loss of knockback, but that's personal taste...
I'd switch out the Levi for an elemental gun at least, though.

Blitz would be fine for Trojans, but trying to blitz and shiver simultaneously would result in a hammer to your face, I suspect.
I don't really see the point of having a normal weapon solely for the sake of the mask stage, though - the damage resistance isn't THAT high.

Meh, heres my go at it

Swordie limited funds setup:

Weapons:
Brandish/Da
Poker
Polaris
Dread Venom Striker

Armor:
Vog

Shield:
Barbarous Thorn Shield (For the damage bonus, if comfortable)
Crest of Almire
Grey Owlite Shield

Trinkets:
Elite Slash x2

This setup implies you will be attacking vana with swords only, using the water to douse him, and DVS to poison him and for mask phase.

Here's my solo FSC

Here's my solo FSC Loadout

Snarby Cap
Vog Coat
Grey Owlite Shield
Penta Heart Pendant
Elite Trueshot Module
Argent Peacemaker
Barbarous Thorn Blade
Fang of Vog
Polaris

Heres my method to soloing Vanaduke in his throne room

Phase 1: Spam my BTB against Vana while picking off zombies
phase 2: Throw poison vials at the mask > 1 FoV charge attack > BTB spamming
phase 3: Throw stun vials at Vana while kiting around shooting him with the AP
phase 4: Same as phase 2
phase 5: Use the FoV Charge on one Slag Guard as soon as he spawns > lure the second Slag guard and kill with FoV charge > Kite around throwing remaining vials at Vana while using Polaris and AP on him. If Slag guards respawn, I kill just one with FoV > continue with kiting until Vana's dead.

My guide.

My guide to soloing Vana with a Blitz (for someone who hasn't soloed him with one before).

The weapons you need for this setup is Blitz, and a Fang of Vog, and use your main elemental sword for the mask.

I've soloed Vana with a Blitz no deaths, no need to spend half an hour using Polaris, when you can spend a 1/4 of that time using Blitz.

Now, here's the guide.

This works for P1, and P3. You should be able to go without taking a pip of damage if you don't get hit by skellies or the mask.

P1: First of all, kill slags. Then, try to lure Vana to the top left corner. Get him as close to the pillar as possible.
Once you get him close to it, go to the top left corner. Once you get there, go to the very corner, where the pillar should be diagonally lined up with you.
Then, simply blitz vana through the hole. If Vana tries to charge you, or mace you, since his mace has such a wide Area of Effect the pillar blocks the mace hit! Then, just blitz charge him into P2.

Note: This works for P1 and P3. You should be able to go without taking a pip of damage if you don't get hit by skellies or the mask.

P2: Once Vanaduke starts walking to the center randomly, go get some water. Once Vana bends over, throw the water at the mask. Once the mask gets down to the 1, start going for more water. Dodge the bullets and throw some more water on the mask. If you haven't gone into P3 by now repeat.

P3: Repeat P1, there is no difference except shadow fire.

P4: Here is your chance to put out that shadow fire that's been getting around all the field. Once you've done that repeat P2, it will be harder, however. Don't get frustrated and start taking chances.

P5: This is the tricky part. The trick doesn't work because his fireballs will catch you on fire. Get your FoV ready to kill a slag guard right off the bat, it will OHKO it if you position it correctly. Once you do that, kite the other one and unleash another FoV charge. Then, wait for vana to whack his mace, sidestep it, and unleash your Blitz charge. Do that over and over, and if some shadow fire gets in the way a good amount put it out if it's a nag to you.

By following this guide, you should be able to solo vana. You should already be acquainted with using a blitz and where a slag guard spawns. If not, watch one of Exileddread's Vanaduke videos.
After a couple times of doing this correctly you shouldn't have to do this trick to solo him without deaths.

Good luck!

What Rangerwill said

In p5, try to figure out the distance you should be at to avoid making vana charge.

@Demonicsothe

Demonicsothe is right, as well. For some reason Vana starts charging a lot more in P5.
If you like, switch over to polaris or AP. But I enjoy using Blitz.
